MP of the Movement for Change Nikola Bajčetić said that organizations dedicated to protecting the rights of LGBT people know very well that they have always had friends in them, as well as that they maximally support the rights of LGBT people.
Bajčetić spoke out after the president of the Board of Directors of LGBT Forum Progres, Bojana Jokić, announced that the non-governmental organization will contact the competent authorities regarding his previous statement, in order to assess whether it contains elements of hate speech and/or a misdemeanor.
"But this is about toxic influences from a third party on the political events in the country. And from the back... because of this, we must not remain silent. I completely understand why various LGBT grantmakers got hooked on this tweet. This is an ideal opportunity for them to justify their grants. Bearing in mind that the current head of the Assembly is renovating it, I expect them to donate as well. I'm just asking them not to paint the walls in rainbow colors," Bajčetić announced on Twitter.
Bajčetić said yesterday that Montenegro will not be held hostage by the "P***r Satanic sect".
Zeković: Bosniak to condemn his colleague's homophobic speech
Human rights activist and member of the Council of the Citizens' Initiative "May 21" Aleksandar Zeković called on PzP MP and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Branka Bošnjak to condemn the homophobic speech of his colleague.
"I remember her as a person who insists on protection against discrimination. Bajčetić's intolerant and inappropriate vocabulary, which characterizes LGBT people as a danger to society, calls for her reaction," Zeković said.
He emphasized that MPs have a special responsibility to refrain from actions that contribute to the spread and incitement of hatred and can threaten social acceptance and the safety of others.
