23 judges retired

At its session today, the Judicial Council noted the termination of the judicial function for 23 judges who meet the conditions for retirement.

"On the basis of Article 121 paragraph 2 of the Constitution of Montenegro, and in connection with Article 17 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, the Judicial Council, based on the notifications submitted by the presidents of the courts, noted the termination of the judicial function of judges who meet the conditions from the above-mentioned article of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance", stated in the announcement of the Judicial Council.

According to Article 17 of the Law on PIO, the insured acquires the right to an old-age pension when he reaches 66 years of age (men) or 64 years of age (women) and at least 15 years of insurance experience and when he reaches 40 years of insurance experience and 61 years of age.

It was established that the judges of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, Stanka Vučinić, Branimir Femić, Dušanka Radović, Svetlana Vujanović, Lidija Ivanović and Petar Stojanović, were terminated.

The judges of the Administrative Court who are retiring are Gordana Pot and Biserka Bukvić, and from the Commercial Court they are Nataša Sekulić, Milica Popović and Senada Hasanagić. Dragica Vuković and Miljana Pavlićević, judges of the High Court in Podgorica, Zahit Camić, president of the Basic Court in Rožaje, Vesna Pavišić, judge of the Basic Court in Cetinje, and Milovan Joković, judge of the Basic Court in Žabljak, were also notified of the termination of their judicial functions.

Ajša Međedović, judge of the Basic Court in Berane, Koviljka Đačić, president of the Budva Misdemeanor Court, Dragici Stojanović, Dragici Kovačević and Vesna Šćepanović, judges of the Higher Misdemeanor Court, Milanka Kaluđerović, judge of the Podgorica Misdemeanor Court and Milutin Božović, judge, will also retire. Court for misdemeanors in Bijelo Polje.

At the session, the council made a decision to elect Tijana Badnjar, Mirko Kojović, Miloš Jokanović, Ivana Žujović, Ivana Radović, Ana Rovčanin, Miloš Moračanin, Milica Ćetković, Hasire Bećović, Sanela Efović, Artan Kroma, Darko Božović, as candidates for judges of basic courts. Tanja Kuburović Radusinović, Vera Femić and Jelena Jablan.

"In accordance with Article 59 of the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges, the selected candidates will be sent to the Center for Training in the Judiciary and the State Prosecutor's Office for initial training," the announcement states.

Based on the report of the Center for Training in the Judiciary and the State Prosecutor's Office, the Council determined the grades for eight candidates for judges of basic courts, during the initial training, and made a decision on the election of Vladimir Bulatović, Neda Vukoslavčević, Vladana Raičević, Krsto Pejović, Ana Krkeljić Milić , Milena Marković Vujanović, Luka Radulović and Jelena Đukanović Perović. At the same time, newly elected judges were assigned to work in the Basic Court in Nikšić, Bar, Kotor and Bijelo Polje.

These judges anas took a solemn oath before the Judicial Council. Also, based on the already established assessment during the initial training, the Council made a decision on the selection and assignment of Miloš Bakrač to the Court for Misdemeanors in Bijelo Polje.

"After the repeated public announcement, for the election of the President of the Supreme Court, the Council established a list of candidates who meet the requirements prescribed by law for the election, and it will be submitted to the General Session of the Supreme Court for further action. The candidates who meet the requirements are Milenka Seka Žižić, judge of the Appellate Court of Montenegro and Ana Vuković, judge of the Special Division of the High Court in Podgorica," the announcement reads.

Based on Article 32 paragraph 6 of the Law on trainees in the courts and the State Prosecutor's Office and the bar exam and the conducted interview, the Judicial Council appointed Sonja Cvetičanin, a judge of the High Court in Podgorica, as a deputy member of the Commission for taking the bar exam, after a repeated public call. At the session, an opinion was given on the number of established positions in the Proposed Rulebook on the internal organization and systematization of the Basic Court in Danilovgrad.

A decision was made to amend the Rules for the evaluation of judges and presidents of courts.

A decision was made to publish a public advertisement to fill three judicial positions in the higher courts.
