Gusinje, fostering fraternal and close neighborly relations between people of different faiths and nations, contributed to the unique and most beautiful mosaic of Montenegro as a state of interfaith and interethnic harmony and coexistence, said Assembly Speaker Aleksa Bečić.
On the occasion of Gusinje Municipality Day, which is celebrated on August 5, he sent a congratulatory message to the Presidents of the Municipality and the Assembly, Anela Čekić and Bujar Hasangjekaj.
Bečić said that small, but beautiful and rich in natural resources, the municipality of Gusinje has above-average potential for the development of the entire region, and thus raising the standard of living of the inhabitants of the city under Prokletije, Lipovica and Visitor.
"In this way, by improving living conditions - communal, road and overall social infrastructure, but also in a more efficient way using wholehearted help from the numerous diaspora, Gusinje will contribute to a good extent to the development of the entire northern region of Montenegro, and thus the country as a whole". he said.
Bečić emphasized that he believes only in a civil Montenegro.
"And the municipality of Gusinj, with its diverse national structure, where everyone feels at home, is one of the real examples that confirm my commitment," he said.
Bečić said that he is convinced that hard-working women and men from Gusinja will have less and less reason to leave their hearths, stating that "our closer cooperation will also contribute to that".
