Deputy of Democratic Montenegro Vladimir Martinović announced today that the adviser to the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović and former head of the Police Directorate Veselin Veljović calls for resistance, protests, riots...
"Clear proof that everything that is happening these days in terms of raising tensions, organizing gatherings is being led by the most brutal political organization prone to terrible manipulations, called DPS (Democratic Party of Socialists). Citizens are calling for peace, DPS for riots. Veljović, what did you command, you were in command," Martinovic wrote on Twitter.
In an author's text for Pobjeda, Veljović called on citizens to gather en masse in Cetinje on September 4, and members of the security sector to refuse certain orders on that day.
He is calling for the gathering on the occasion of the announcement of the enthronement of Bishop Joaniki as the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral.
In a statement, Martinović stated that Veljović "sees every situation as a convenient opportunity to fuel the fire" and that "only chaos can save him from facing the law, both because of unsolved murders and violence from his time, and because of multimillion-dollar embezzlements."
"Citizens, even those who are gullible, are urged not to fall for the cheap provocations of a man who is among the most responsible for the devastating state in which Montenegro found itself during the past three decades. Because, do not forget that in every threat of dismissal if you do not vote for DPS, in in every salary you earned but didn't get, in every rise in food prices, in every beating of political opponents of DPS, in every dubious business and in every immoral enrichment - Veselin Veljović has his hands in the mix. He is the face of all the worst things that have happened happened to this country during the previous 30 years," said Martinović.
It was previously announced from DPS that they are not behind the announcements of the gathering in Cetinje and announced the filing of charges, among other things, against Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, due to the association of that party and the announcement of the gathering.
