Veselin Veljović is the protective face of all the worst things that have happened to this country over the past 30 years, said Vladimir Martinović, deputy and vice president of Democratic Montenegro.
He stated that since he left the position of director of the Police Directorate, Veljović "obviously has excess free time, so, among other things, he advertises himself in the form of columns, signing his works as "Lecturer on National and International Security".
"An ignorant person, based on such a pompous presentation, would get the impression that he is an extraordinary expert, but he would be dissuaded by the very first lines of Veljović's proverbially illiterate works. Along with the fight against the imaginary enemies of the state, Veljović is also waging a very real and consistent war with spelling "We don't know whether it's ignorance or a lost bet, but we're sure that even a mediocre proofreader would cry a monk's cry if, reading Veljović's homework, he saw what he was dealing with," said Martinović.
He added that, on average, not even seven days pass, "without... a new wave of his delusions washing over us".

He also listed all the functions that Veljović held.
"Yes, we are referring to the serious functions that this frivolous, but very dangerous man held. Veljović was the commander of the Pljevlja police station (1992 – 1995), the commander of the (S)AJ (1995 – 2005), the director of the Police Administration (2005 – 2011), advisor for defense and security of the President of Montenegro (2011 – 2014), secretary of the National Security Council (2014 – 2018), and again director of the Police Administration (2018 – 2020), and now, for the second time, he is an advisor for defense and the bodyguard of the President of Montenegro. The Democrat MP also stated that he is worried about the fate of Montenegro, Veljović called "anyone who disagrees with the business plans of his boss as a treasonous point of view".
"He sees every situation as a good opportunity to fuel the fire, because only chaos can save him from facing the law, both because of unsolved murders and violence from his time, and because of multi-million dollar embezzlements. We urge citizens, even gullible ones, not to fall for cheap provocations of a man who is among the most responsible for the devastating state that Montenegro was in during the past three decades. Because, don't forget that in every threat of dismissal if you don't vote for DPS, in every salary you earned but didn't receive, in every increasing the price of food, in every beating of political opponents of the DPS, in every dubious business and in every immoral enrichment - Veselin Veljović also has a hand in it. He is the face of all the worst things that have happened to this country during the past 30 years," said Martinović , adding that "those media that are now unskillfully painting his biography - presenting him as an intellectual - are complicit in the criminal destruction of the potential of this society".
