The Prime Minister's address is a precedent, the message to the doctors is humiliating, Almir Rebronja, a member of the Presidency of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), announced today.
The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapić, said during his visit to Nikšić the day before yesterday, "I once said, and they blamed me a lot, that a doctor kills one man, and the economy kills a thousand."
"It's a lot, even though it's also from him. I'm sure that until now the Prime Minister himself had the opportunity to be a patient and was able to convince himself of the humanity and self-sacrifice of the doctors. Unlike the Prime Minister, doctors care about the life of every human being and the fight for preserving human life is part of our daily life, from student days to the last days. Fortunately, doctors do not exist because of any, not even this kind of prime minister, but because of the citizens, and we will do our job as best as we can and as much as we can in the conditions in which we are doing, and for which he is personally responsible," Rebronja pointed out.
He added that Krivokapić's statement deserves the disgust of every doctor, which he adds he does not doubt and what he testifies, as well as a sharp uncompromising reaction from all levels of health management in the country, professional bodies and trade union organizations, which he expects as a doctor.
"Above all, it would be better and only correct from his position to worry about the status of doctors, about their financial position, about the lack of doctors, and the consequent overloading of the existing number in order to make them available to all citizens, to see how it works and with what resources and in what conditions are the health institutions, HMP, health centers and hospitals, what is the workload of the KC, etc., what is the rate of infection from Kovid, what is the mortality rate," said Rebronja.
According to him, these are all questions that require answers, and to which it is obviously difficult to get an answer from someone who can say something like this.
"Despite his extremely humiliating attitude, the doctor will remain a doctor, and Zdravko Krivokapić, I hope, will be prosecuted by the competent institutions at the very least for defamation of one of the most noble professions," concluded Rebronja.
