Two months after the Congress of the Bosniak Party (BS), some officials express their dissatisfaction with the manner of conducting the personnel policy and the moves made by the recently elected president of the BS, Ervin Ibrahimović, "Vijesti" has learned.
One of the dissatisfied is Osman Nurković, the longtime vice-president of the Bosniak Party and former Minister of Transport, who is speculated to be able to follow in the footsteps of the former official of that party, Adnan Muhović.
He recently became the vice-president of Hazbija Kalac's Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP).
"A large number of respected members of the BS express their dissatisfaction with the actions taken by Ibrahimović, working according to the directive of the top of the DPS, with clear tasks to express their alleged concern for the position of minorities in Montenegro to the representatives of the international community," said a source close to the top of the party.
Nurković, however, claims that this is not true, that it is "a story that this political scene would hardly welcome", but he does not deny that he once met with Kalač, two days after the Main Board: "He asked me what the situation was, if there was disagreements, conflicts ... Everyone has their own attitude, their own opinion. I might have organized something differently and advocated for something different, but I respect the decisions of the authorities, I respect the decisions of the majority. It doesn't matter if I had a conflict of opinion about the coalition and the government, but in the end the Main Committee and the Presidency make a decision. Whatever happens next, if there are any decisions of mine, of course, the public will be informed", said Nurković to "Vijesta".
He pointed out that he is talking to all people, including pro-Serbian parties, but that this does not mean that he is denying everything he has done so far and that he is going to do something else.
The spokesman of the Bosniak Party, Adel Omeragić, said that the BS continuously recorded an influx of new members, and that this was the result of the policy they had been pursuing since the founding of the party, until today.
"Research conducted in the previous period, as well as our internal research, show that the Bosniak Party is a stable political entity, which records a growing trend of support. During the next month, we will hold a ceremony on the occasion of the reception of new members, which is a confirmation that the Bosniak Party, headed by President Ervin Ibrahimović, continues to walk the right path", said Omeragić.
When asked if the party has his full support, Nurković answered - "of course, for now it is like that".
Answering the question about how satisfied he is with the way Ibrahimović leads the party, he said that it remains to be seen, because he has just been elected: "Everyone is subject to analysis and evaluation at the end. No one is destined to be successful or unsuccessful. Everything depends on him and the associates he works with".
Ervin Ibrahimović was elected president of the party at the congress in June. At the Congress, a new convocation of the Main Board was elected, as well as the Statutory and Supervisory Commission, as well as the Court of Honor.
The source states that among the councilor club of BS in Rožaje, which is the headquarters of the party, there are several councilors who plan to act as independents in the future. Allegedly, the committee members and other members are very clear that Ibrahimović, by imposing his personnel solutions on the BS presidency, is questioning the further survival of the party.
"It is not good that Ibrahimović is neglecting important people, such as the long-time BS youth leader Sead Šahman, who joined the party in the family of the European People's Party... His colleague, former youth president and member of the main board Asmir Pepić, is also very critical of Ibrahimović. ", said a source from BS.
Šahman did not answer the calls and messages of "Vijesti" yesterday.
Asmir Pepić said that it was the wrong address for that topic, because he was with Rafe Husović from the first day of the establishment of BS.
He pointed out that it is very early to talk about the way in which Ibrahimović, who was supported at the Congress, leads the party.
"And we all need to help him in his future work, where it will not be easy. Unfortunately, there are individuals who look at their own interest through various functions and thus express dissatisfaction, but I am not like that, because I would never collapse the house I was building, regardless of whether I was in a function or not. This is the common interest of all Bosniaks in general, and we have a moral obligation to protect it," said Pepić.
A large number of members and officials allegedly left the party after the death of the previous BS president, who were dissatisfied with the way BS was positioned and the neglect of the membership in decision-making.
