Vučić congratulated Joaniki: Serbia cares about friendship and close relations with Montenegro, whose independence it respects

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, congratulated Metropolitan Joaniki on his accession to the throne of the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral.

As reported by Tanjug, in his congratulatory message, Vučić pointed out the importance of that diocese for the Serbian Orthodox Church and pointed out that Serbia cares about friendship and the closest relations of cooperation with Montenegro, whose independence it respects.

"On the eve of your enthronement, when you step on the throne of the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, on the throne of Saint Peter of Cetinje, assuming that lofty title, but also a title responsible and burdened with various trials, allow me to congratulate the enthronement on behalf of the citizens of Serbia, and especially the Orthodox Serbs" , he writes in the congratulatory message delivered to Tanjug.

He wished Joanikuj that in health, wisdom and courage he would be a spiritual shepherd for a long time and successfully in the famous Metropolis of Montenegro and the Littoral, and for the honor of the Serbian race, the Svetosavski race and the Orthodox race.

The enthronement of Joaniki was announced for tomorrow in the Cetinje monastery.
