The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on the Government and Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić to immediately dismiss the director of the Film Center, Aleksandra Božović, who was appointed yesterday, telling the authorities that they overplayed their hand in the competition of who would humiliate Montenegrin identity, culture and art more.
Those from that party, saying that the "landing" on the Film Center must not go through, stated that the cultural scene of Montenegro is not the private property of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić, and reminded that Božović was a candidate for the deputy of the Serbian right-wing party Dveri .
In the Committee for Education, Culture and Media of the Main Board of DPS, they believe that the director of the Film Center, Sehad Čekić, was dismissed because his name does not fit into the minister's "Serbian world".
"In alliance with the rector of the University of Montenegro, who subtly implements the policy of Russian soft power in higher education through the SPC channels, Ms. Bratić delivers low blows to civilian Montenegro. She mocks her face. She illegally dismissed the director of the National Museum. She replaced her with staff who celebrated with conservation works in the temples of Montenegro, and there would be nothing in dispute about that, if this Government had not been confined in a monastery and had not clericalized Montenegrin society to the extent that it was brought to the brink of civil conflicts. It intends to fulfill the vow of the Church of Serbia and replace the icon ' from where it has the only appropriate place, in the National Museum of Montenegro. The votary was mistaken, because we, indeed, defend the holy places. We do not give them to the servants of the 'Serbian world'."
"Despite the announcement of the Association of Film Producers and Directors of Montenegro, Bratić dismissed the director of the Film Center. His first and last name does not fit into her 'Serbian world'. Vesna Bratić learned that these are 'fake people with a false faith', but her faith in science. Her faith is an embezzlement of Christianity and Orthodoxy, in the spirit of which is 'love your neighbor as yourself'. She found a decent substitute for what was undesirable in the 'Serbian world'," the DPS press release states.
They said that the newly appointed director Božović "landed" in Montenegro "straight from the list of the ultra-nationalist party Dveri Boško Obradović".
"With modest qualifications and references, the newly appointed director of the Film Center was previously an overpaid adviser to the director of the Cultural Center of Novo Sad, Andrej Fajgelj, known for his pro-fascist views. We are justified in believing that Minister Bratić was primarily fascinated by the political rather than the professional biography of Aleksandra Božović. Dveri , whose candidate for parliament was the newly appointed director of the Film Center of Montenegro, claim that Boka Kotorska is part of Serbia, and members of this ultra-nationalist Serbian party invaded public forums, physically dealing with participants and dissenters."
"We are sure that this worthy employee, Vesna Bratić, will skillfully initiate the making of films with the theme of Dimitrij Ljotić's contribution to the anti-fascist tradition. It is clear to us that Minister Bratić, for whom Montenegrins are the product of ethnic engineering, is introducing the lowest ideology into the culture, Ljotićism, for example, which, to make the bizarreness even greater, even one Vojislav Šešelj is threatened. To use the language of the film, this 'blasphemy' of Minister Bratić may seem like an 'unseen miracle', but she should know that 'there are no small gods', that we will study her (in)deed as an 'occupation in 26 pictures' and that soon we will 'live like the rest of the normal world'," the DPS statement added.
If you agree to this, as they say, you agree to humiliation.
"If we allow them to turn our country into a door through which clero-nationalism and the fascist attitude of Boško Obradović towards the Montenegrin nation will enter uncontrollably, exactly the same as the minister's, we will be actors in the sale of the state, we will pay the price for centuries. If we accept this, we have rejected Montenegro, the civil , European", the announcement concludes.
