Although the high official of Ulcinj DPS Nailj Reža claims that the ninth municipal election conference in that city was irregular, in the local committee of that party they say that everything took place in accordance with the statute and rules.
"Municipal election conferences (MEC), including the conference in Ulcinj, were held in accordance with the statute and identical rules. That everything was in accordance with the statute is also shown by the fact that they did not receive a single remark", says the answer of OO DPS to the questions of "Vijesti" to comment on the accusations of certain members about alleged illegalities at the election conference.
However, Reža, who was a member of the GO for two terms, and now for the first time since 1997, did not make it to the OO, says that because of his views, he was obviously not to someone's liking.
"Because I can't believe that I didn't get at least 27 votes, which was needed to pass. But they still don't give me that paper, so I can see who voted, how and how many votes I got. Someone deleted me," Reža told "Vijesta".
He announced that as soon as he receives proof of this, he will write a complaint to the competent party authorities.
The election conference of the Ulcinj DPS, where 60 members of the new OO convocation were elected electronically, was held in the hall of the Cultural Center on Sunday, September 19. There were 115 delegates present, who had the right to vote.
The first-ranked on the list was the current president of OO Sead Osmanović with 123 votes, the second on the list was Đuro Dabović with almost 40 votes less, 85, then Fuad Bajri 81, Samanta Đekaj 81, Ljiljana Čović 77, Vladimir Filipović 76, Sadik Čotić, Edina Derviši, Bojan Đakonović, Pavle Marniković and Tihomir Rakočević 75 each... It turned out that 27 votes were enough for entering the OO, which were received by Aleks Rudović and Džemal Redžović. Veterans Ljoro Nrekić, Redžep Taganović, and Ljuiđ Škrelja also joined OO automatically, as councilors...
Reža says that it is obvious that the voting was not regular.
"If at the beginning of the conference we determined that there were 115 delegates with the right to vote, how could someone get 123 votes," he said.
He stated that he understands the need to work on rejuvenating the party. "But if you already enter the game, then play fair," said Redza.
In OO DPS point out that at the 9th DPS Municipal Electoral Conference in Ulcinj, the trend of party personnel strengthening continued.
"Out of the proposed 145 delegates, 115 participated in the conference and were physically present, while the others who were in isolation or excused their absence, voted electronically via QR code or the link that was provided to them. At the conference, a new convocation of the OO was elected, which, in addition to the newly elected 60 members, also includes the president of the municipality and 8 councilors of the SO. Please note that in the new composition, 33% are women and 33% are young people", reads the reply of OO DPS.
Reža says that it is unclear how someone had the right to vote from home. "If someone could vote from home, then why didn't we all vote from our homes," he said.
Another delegate and a prominent member of the DPS, whose name and surname are known to the editorial office, claims that the list of the new OO was imposed from Podgorica and only forwarded in the "finished version".
In OO DPS, they say that personnel strengthening means "that among the new members, 85 percent of them are highly educated and were proposed on the basis of references, i.e. their biographies".
"So, in the new composition we also have doctors, lawyers, architects, entrepreneurs. We are convinced that the DPS will be the backbone of the future government both in Ulcinj and at the state level, of course, alongside our traditional coalition partners and all those civic forces that stand for a civil, multi-ethnic and secular Montenegro, a future member of the European Union." it says in the memo.

The DPS municipal board, i.e. the headquarters, is disputable that any of their delegates or members dared to speak to Vijesti about possible irregularities at the conference. "If any of our 145 MEC delegates in Ulcinj, or our party members, were unclear about something, we are convinced that they would first turn to the party authorities, and not to the media close to the regime, which has its political mission to harm the DPS with unfounded attacks the rating and reputation of our party", the answer reads.
