The Budva committee of Prava Montenegro welcomed the proposal of the president of the local parliament, Krsto Radović, that he and the president of the municipality, Marko Carević, resign, saying that this would contribute to overcoming the crisis in Budva.
Prava pointed out that the citizens suffer the most because of the complicated situation, which "for a long period of time is characterized by the inability of the management of the Municipality of Budva to establish a smooth and stable government after the elections", without a solution in sight.
"True Montenegro Budva perceives this offer as perhaps the only way to overcome the crisis, bearing in mind that despite numerous attempts, from various sides, we have not moved forward, on the contrary, day by day the crisis deepens and often takes on personal accounts".
"True Montenegro Budva has always been and will be guided by the general interest, and for our party any and anyone's party interests are less important compared to the interests of the citizens of Budva, who did not vote for us to be ruthlessly and often beneath everyone on a human level, but to provide citizens with harmonious and high-quality local public administration," the announcement states.
From the Budva committee, Prava adds that they have always been a constructive entity and that they will always, as before, be with anyone who makes and implements good decisions, regardless of which political entity of the new parliamentary majority they come from.
"Thus, we have supported the policies of the President of the Municipality of Budva, Mr. Marko Bata Carevic, countless times, but we also cannot and will not support those political actions that do not go in the direction of the much-needed stabilization of the political situation in Budva."
"True Montenegro Budva does not conduct politics according to which political entity, be it the DF or the Democrats, proposes something, but according to its own conscience and the quality of the proposed political action, and therefore we welcome the proposal that the leaders of the Municipality and the Municipal Assembly resign in order to urgently open the process of getting out of the deep political crisis in Budva, and only in the interest of its citizens," the announcement concludes.
