Talks towards stabilization or a new crisis?

Leaders of the Democratic Front, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević, will be the first today to exchange arguments with Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, that is, to present proposals regarding what a "strengthened" government should look like and where they see the positions of their parties in it.

After announcing the reconstruction of the Government, Krivokapić is starting official separate talks with the leaders of the parliamentary majority about it today, and the first on the list are Mandić, followed by Knežević. He is scheduled to meet today with SNP leader Vladimir Joković, then the head of the Movement for Change club Branko Radulović, the leaders of Prava, Radnika and United Montenegro Marko Milačić, Maksim Vučinić and Goran Danilović. All of them formed the coalition "For the future of Montenegro" whose prime minister was the leader of the list in the parliamentary elections.

Krivokapić's conversation with the leaders of the Democrats Aleks Bečić and URA GP Dritan Abazović is planned for Saturday, "Vijesta" confirmed.

The positions of the parties are generally known, the DF and the Democrats believe that they deserve a place in the Government, although the Democrats generally did not openly insist on it. Those parties generally positioned themselves "in depth" after the parliamentary elections.

The leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić, told the Public Service that everyone expects the stabilization of the parliamentary majority, and that even after a possible reconstruction, the Government will respect the agreement that preceded its vote.

The highest officials of GP URA have repeated several times that they are in favor of talks on reconstruction and that they believe that the Government should remain an expert. The main committee of GP URA, which will make a final decision on the reconstruction, is expected next week. General Secretary of the URA GP Mileta Radovanić confirmed to "Vijesta" that they will respond to the Prime Minister's invitation.

In addition to Krivokapić's announcement that certain portfolios in his cabinet will be divided during the reconstruction negotiations, there are several ideas about the possible outcome. For example, there is one that the DF prefers, that they agree with the Democrats, the minorities, and the SDP on a new government in which there would be no GP URA, nor the current prime minister. So far, there has been no such willingness from the minority parties, and neither has the SDP.

URA is also considering the version that in case of insisting on a political government, it will ask for the post of prime minister, which does not have to go to Abazović.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, commenting on the possibility of the Front entering the Government, expressed the expectation that it would be a party that inherits the fundamental values ​​of the EU.
