As long as Montenegro is represented in the world by the current president Milo Đukanović, the country and its citizens will suffer great damage, which will be accompanied by a continuous feeling of moral discomfort, announced today from the office of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
The Prime Minister's office, among other things, asked the members of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), and after their recent reactions, how many other companies and trusts that "exist only on paper" does President Đukanović have.
"After Vanja Ćalović Marković and the MANS Research Center announced yesterday that President Đukanović and his son hid ownership in more than five countries, through various trusts and offshore companies, the Montenegrin public was temporarily overwhelmed by outpourings of mass panic from DPS officials , which, according to the principle of the button, were activated to try to defend the indefensible through the hyperproduction of tweets and statements, written according to the mold. We understand the panic, but we do not understand the logic of those apologists who believe that the number of statements can cover up the traces of the fraud and criminal activities of their boss," he states. in a statement from Krivokapić's cabinet.
They said that it would be useful if DPS officials, since they "don't dare to rationally explain" the argument by which they "try to defend the indefensible", together with "their principal" answer several questions to the public.
"How many more companies and trusts that "exist only on paper" does President Đukanović have? Two years ago he assured us that there were none at all, only to finally admit the existence of only one (Vagor Investment) in Cyprus, which also "did not operate "; How much does sixty minutes (one hour) of legal services from Charles Mia Limited or ALGOCAL law offices cost? Mr. Đukanović should know that; What is the purpose of such a complex scheme of companies, such a large number of intermediaries and why pay for enormous legal services for trusts and companies that ' they never did business'?"
"Do you really think that anyone, sane and rational, believed your manipulation that the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, with partners from 117 countries, decided to release a database of almost 12 million documents (!) just to 'fabricate an affair' ' against your boss? And that renowned world media such as the BBC, Le Monde, Washington Post, Guardian or L'Espresso participate in this 'fabrication', which since yesterday have been intensively writing about the shameful offshore adventures of your leader," the announcement states. .
If the representatives of DPS, as it is added, had been "so agile in defending state interests, instead of personal ones", Montenegro would already be a full member of the European Union today, with independent institutions and a developed economy.
"On the contrary, under the guise of defending state interests and national rights, yesterday, as well as that day in Cetinje, and on many occasions before, you actually defended the criminal octopus of one man and his family. And that is the saddest fact of your political career and record. Mr. Đukanović and his party protectors must keep in mind that the economic crimes against this country are not forgotten and do not become outdated: the loans that the family bank gave to organized crime, the sale of valuable shares of Elektroprivreda and the laws that were adopted to save the same bank. because of loans that were never repaid."
"The dubious privatizations in dealings with Russian and Azerbaijani tycoons, as well as the harmful debts for the highway, which almost led Montenegro to debt slavery, are not forgotten. The unsolved affairs are also forgotten: 'Telekom', 'Snimak', 'Limenka' , 'Piraeus Bank', 'Envelope', etc.," the statement added.
The Prime Minister's office said that they will constantly remind them until, "until the last euro", all Montenegrin citizens and the state budget are compensated.
"In the same way, until the Prosecution is freed from the party influence of the former regime, all actors of the domestic and international scene should remember that the current president of Montenegro is a compromised person. As long as such a person represents us in the world, the state of Montenegro and its citizens will suffer great damage, which will be accompanied by a continuing sense of moral discomfort," the statement concluded.
