The President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, is on a two-day official visit to Georgia at the invitation of the President of that country, Salome Zurabišvili.
As announced by the Information Service of the President of Montenegro, he was welcomed with the highest military and state honors.
"After the welcome ceremony, Presidents Đukanović and Zurabišvili had a tete-a-tete conversation, which they continued at the meeting of the delegations of Montenegro and Georgia," the announcement states.
Đukanović arrived early this morning on an official visit to Georgia.
The president's office announced yesterday that Đukanović, after the reception ceremony with the highest military and state honors, will have a tete-a-tete conversation with the president of Georgia, which will continue at the meeting of the delegations of Montenegro and Georgia, after which public statements are planned.
During the official visit, Đukanović will also have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, who will also prepare a working lunch in Đukanović's honor, the president's office stated.
Đukanović will also lay a wreath at Heroes' Square.
The visit to Georgia is the first official visit at the highest presidential level since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Montenegro and Georgia.
