The Government passed a decision on the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Todor Goranović as the General Director of the Intelligence and Security Directorate in the Ministry of Defense.
Goranović was acting director of the Intelligence and Security Directorate.
"According to the provisions of the Law on Military-Intelligence and Security Affairs, it is prescribed that a person who, in addition to the general conditions prescribed by the law regulating the rights and obligations of civil servants and state employees, must meet the special condition of being at least ten years old can be appointed as a director. work experience in jobs with the VII1 level of educational qualification, of which at least five years in managerial positions in the field of security, while the second paragraph of the same article stipulates that the director is appointed by the Government, on the proposal of the Minister of Defense, with the opinion of the competent working body of the Parliament of Montenegro. , it is stated in the explanation.
At the end of October, the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense unanimously adopted the opinion to appoint Goranović as director of the Intelligence and Security Directorate.
Due to the termination of the employment relationship by force of law, the Government also proposed to recall Ambassador Željko Perović from the position of resident ambassador in Austria.
"Given that Željko Perović, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to the Republic of Austria, due to his 67 years of age and at least 15 years of insurance experience, by force of law, his employment in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ends on November 15, 2021. ," the proposal states, among other things.
He was ambassador to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but on a non-resident basis.
