The Parliament of Montenegro will start its session today with 13 agenda items, among which are amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government.
The amendments, proposed by the parliamentary majority, provide that local elections in 16 Montenegrin municipalities and Golubovci will be held on the same day next year.
On the agenda are changes to the law on internal affairs, which specifies the election of the police director, and on sports, which harmonizes that act with internationally binding conventions in the field of anti-doping.
The MPs will discuss the proposal of the Administrative Committee, which gives permission to initiate criminal proceedings against MP Petar Ivanović.
The MPs will express their opinion on the proposals of the Administrative Resolution, which does not give permission to initiate criminal proceedings against MPs Dragan Krapović, Vladan Raičević, Milan Knežević, Milun Zogović and Zdenka Popović.
On the agenda of the Assembly session is a proposal to initiate proceedings to determine whether the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, violated the Constitution regarding the events in Cetinje.
Deputies will express their views on interpellations for examining issues in the conduct of politics in the field of education, foreign affairs and agriculture.
On the agenda are elections, appointments and dismissals.
