This government is not the problem of Montenegrin's path to the European Union (EU), announced Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, stating that the executive power in Brussels was shown exceptional support.
Summarizing the impressions of the three-day visit to Brussels, the Prime Minister said that there is no Euroscepticism towards EU enlargement, which is the most important message for all the countries of the Western Balkans, and especially for Montenegro.
"That the approach that we defined as the 'fifo approach' will be put into practice, and I must say that everyone agreed with our views regarding the optimism we have on that path. And that means that we have one country that has a European currency , that 75 percent of the citizens support that country on its European path, that we do not have any problems with our neighbors and that there is a general will, especially of this government, to be the first next member of the European Union," Krivokapić told RTCG.
He also assessed that Montenegro, as a small country in square footage, does not represent a burden to any EU country.
He recalled Brexit, that is, the exit of one country from the EU: "In order for that process not to continue, someone must prove that enlargement is not only a hope, but a result."
