Holder of the list of Democrats for the local elections in Cetinje Danilo Mrvaljevic he is sure, as he says, that his party will achieve an excellent result and be one of the key factors in the future constellation of forces in the Cetinje parliament. "We expect a sure victory for the subjects of the current opposition, and we hope that no opposition political subject will turn into a sloop for saving the DPS," he told Vijesti.
"Cetinje has been a disappearing city for a long time. From 1991 to today, the number of inhabitants has been almost halved, the number of first-year students has decreased by two-thirds, and the Cetinje economy has been razed to the ground. That is the price of the DPS government in the previous three decades. A catastrophic demographic picture, a huge unemployment rate, a lack of infrastructure - these are the pressing problems of the Capital," says Mrvaljević.
He believes that the Democrats would solve these problems with a systematic and serious approach, through the urgent adoption of the Demographic Development Strategy, which was not heard of in the previous four years by the outgoing government.
It is, he adds, an umbrella document that will contain all the necessary measures to improve the demographic picture and keep young people in Cetinje.
"In the first place, the construction of so-called youth apartments for young married couples up to 35 years of age, who will have the opportunity to get a roof over their heads at a price of up to 50 percent of the market and additional subsidies and the participation of the Capital
under the system of more children - more support, through the increase of allowances for babies and unemployed mothers to the amount of 500 euros and a number of other measures. We will solve the issue of unemployment with concrete activities, through various types of incentives and measures for new and existing business entities, and through the clearing, subdivision and infrastructure equipment of the zone in the area of the former Obod, the zone in Zagrablje and other suitable locations, as a basic prerequisite for the arrival of investments in Cetinje and in the final opening of new jobs. We will build the infrastructure in a planned manner, with a clear vision and according to priorities, from the funds that Cetinje receives every year in accordance with the Law on the Capital," Mrvaljević enumerates.
When asked what the government in Cetinje has promised so far and has not fulfilled, he reminds of hundreds of projects that have not been fulfilled, and Cetinje has been sinking and being displaced year by year.
"Only in the area of the former Obod, and only in the last decade, there were dozens of false promises by the DPS. They "opened" factories from election cycle to election cycle: a leather goods factory, a solar panel factory, the Huawei experience zone, the MACCOC center, a chocolate factory, a factory for the processing of industrial hemp and the production of cannabis oil... All these and numerous other projects are just fairy tales of the DPS, which is known to all Cetinje residents. However, the true mirror of the DPS policy and intention towards Cetinje is the fact that even those projects that were quite realistic, which were very easy to achieve, were not realized due to the greed, incompetence and irresponsibility of the outgoing government," adds the interlocutor.
Excited about why he thinks the citizens will trust the Democrats, he expressed confidence that the result will be excellent.
"Democrat recommends tremendous work in the previous 4 years, as the most active Club of Councilors in the Cetinje Parliament, tremendous work and support to citizens and outside the parliament, as well as consistency, expertise, responsible and honest attitude towards citizens. We are recommended by people from our list who have given themselves to Cetinje and we are recommended by the held Word. I believe that the citizens of Cetinje will recognize this, and I am justified by the daily strong support of our fellow citizens for our Program and our people. And most importantly, we are recommended an excellent program for the revitalization of the Montenegrin Capital, which contains excellent projects," says Mrvaljević.
The first steps of the new government, first of all the Democrats, he says, will be the revision of the previous operations of the Capital, the prosecution of those responsible and the urgent transformation of local administration from a sluggish, inefficient, inexpert, party-captured system into a modern, professional, professional service for all citizens.
"But those first steps are only a prerequisite to start the programs that need to rebuild Cetinje as soon as possible and with the highest quality," says Mrvaljević.
