Graduated electrical engineer Neđeljko Moškov was elected as the new president of the Municipal Committee (MOC) of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Kotor, the party announced.
Moškov was elected to that position at the session of the Kotor board of DPS, which was held on Tuesday.
DPS said that Moškov has been a member of OO Kotor since 2011.
He was a councilor in the Kotor Municipality Assembly on two occasions, from 2012 to 2016 and from 2017 to 2019.
DPS said that in his career so far, Moškov has shown outstanding results, visionary, leadership and human qualities, which are the guarantor of the reform process implemented by that party.
As stated by that party, Moškov is taking office at the most difficult moments in the recent political history of Montenegro and Kotor, when, as they assessed, the foundations of statehood and the path of development of the entire society are collapsing.
DPS said that they are sure that, with new energy, leadership and dedicated work, Montenegro will once again be an example of a democratic society, coexistence and respect among citizens.
"As well as that European integration, economic topics and the increase in the standard of living of our citizens will replace the retrograde ideas implemented by the current government, both at the state and local levels," the announcement states.
The DPS said that they resolutely continue to implement reforms in order to readily respond to all political processes that await Montenegro on its path to European integration and the prosperity of the entire society.
