Bosniak: The arms of a major corruption scandal lead to Montenegro and the business related to the wind farm on Možura

The Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro Branka Bošnjak (PzP) announced today that the deputies of the parliamentary majority submitted to the parliamentary procedure the initiative for the formation of a parliamentary investigation and the formation of the Inquiry Committee in order to collect information and facts about actions related to the work of state bodies and other subjects in connection with with the Možura wind power plant project.

"The reasons for the opening of the parliamentary investigation and the education of the Committee are contained in the fact that it is a big international corruption affair, the branches of which lead to Montenegro and the business related to the leasing, construction and operation of the wind power plant on Možura. According to the information that was available, it can be concluded that in Montenegro there is very important evidence of the existence of multimillion-dollar corruption in a project that will cost the state, in addition, 12 million euros through a contract on subsidized electricity for 115 years," Bošnjak pointed out, as announced by the Movement for Change (PzP ).

She added that "the Mozura Wind Park company, which manages the controversial wind farm project on the Možura hill between Bar and Ulcinj, has been operating for years through Prva banka, in which the single largest shareholder is Aco Đukanović, the brother of the president of the state Milo Đukanović, which can be concluded based on the documentation collected during the journalistic investigation".

"Unfortunately, as a victim we have a journalist from Malta, Ms. Dafna Kaurana Galicia, who paid with her life for the facts she came across as an investigative journalist, and whose son, also an investigative journalist, Mr. Matthew Kaurana Galicia stated that his mother "at the time when was killed, investigated all the people who were involved in this agreement in Montenegro". suspects that the work of the competent authorities, individuals from the top of the government and some Montenegrin companies was illegal, and that the state and citizens as taxpayers in this business suffered multimillion-dollar damage, and that the Government of Montenegro and other competent authorities did not undertake measures, actions and activities that according to the Constitution and the law were required to be undertaken in the protection of state property, but on the contrary, it is suspected that they were part of this corrupt business," said Bošnjak.

The Vice President of the Assembly said that the initiative was signed by all members of the parliamentary majority.

"The deadline for the implementation of the parliamentary investigation is one hundred and twenty days from the date of entry into force of the Decision on the parliamentary investigation," concluded Bošnjak.
