The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, said that yesterday's failure of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Vesna Bratić, to the session of the Parliament of Montenegro, whose agenda included an interpellation for examining the Government's policy in the field of education, flagrantly violated the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
The Vice President of the Assembly, Strahinja Bulajić, announced yesterday that the Parliament received a letter informing them that Bratić could not be present, and that she had authorized the State Secretary in the Ministry, Damjan Ćulafić, to replace her.
"What happened yesterday was a flagrant violation of the Rules of Procedure, because the discussion on interpellation was not started. Because of such a violation, I think we should seriously consider how to treat members of the parliamentary opposition. We will certainly have a certain initiative in relation to this," said Živković.
DF MP, Slaven Radunović, said that the Government has the right under the Rules of Procedure to authorize whoever it wants to attend the sessions.
"The one who was authorized was also present in the Assembly. The opposition is experienced according to the deputies, the guest who was here, according to everyone who respects the Rules of Procedure... In the end, their (the opposition's) choice was that they did not want to discuss what they were supposed to discuss with the person who is authorized to that. The discussion began and was concluded. I hope there will be no more such obstructions. You ask for a discussion, and then you run away...", he pointed out.
Member of Parliament of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Draginja Vuksanović Stanović, said that yesterday's events in the parliament were "a shame for the ruling majority and for the Government".
"The Vice President of the Assembly violated the Rules of Procedure. We thought it was pointless to discuss the work of the Ministry with a person who came there only recently. We are not running away from anyone, nor are we afraid of you. She (Bratić) ran away... It is terrible that it could not be more terrible that our Ministry is led by someone who denies all possible interests of this country. I know that Radunović is very sensitive to Minister Bratić because he hires all of their staff 'by depth' and implements their Chetnik ideology. Only you, Mr. Radunović, don't teach me how to behave...", stated Vuksanović Stanković.
Democrat MP Zdenka Popović said that it is incomprehensible that one university professor addresses another with - "this".
Vuksanović Stanković replied that she did not know that it was forbidden to use demonstrative pronouns in the Assembly.
"Democrats are the second face of DF. My colleague did not speak up when misogynistic and sexist messages were sent to me," she added.
Popović told her that "a woman must not be a wolf to a woman."
"I am not defending Mrs. Bratić. I think there are mistakes. However, if I want to attack her, I will attack her politically professionally, not humanly," she said.
DPS member of parliament, Marta Šćepanović, told her that she should not protect Bratić from them.
Member of Social Democrats (SD), Ivan Brajović, said that yesterday's session could not be continued because there were no proponents in the hall.
Radunović replied that he was sorry that there were no proponents in the plenum and that the discussion was conducted without them.
"The businessman was not injured," he underlined.
