An unknown person broke into the hotel room of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić during his stay in Strasbourg, on the occasion of an official visit to the Council of Europe, Nova.rs has learned.
Krivokapić was in Strasbourg in mid-November.
A source from the Nova.rs portal from diplomatic sources said that an unknown person broke into the prime minister's hotel room at the moment when Krivokapić himself happened to be there.
According to their knowledge, the unknown man was found in the Prime Minister's room during the period when he and the delegation were supposed to be outside the hotel, but having changed his plan, he returned to his hotel room in time for lunch.
Then he found an unknown man who is not part of the hotel staff.
The interlocutors of Nova.rs stated that even the hotel staff had no explanation as to who the man was or where he came from in Krivokapić's room, that the police responded, but that further details are not known, and that there are suspicions that the whole case is being covered up for certain reasons. .
Krivokapić's office confirmed to Nova.rs that the incident had taken place, but they did not want to comment on the case, instead referring them to the National Security Agency and the Police Directorate.
The Police Directorate informed the RTCG portal that an internal investigation is underway in the Security of Persons and Facilities Sector in order to determine responsibility for possible omissions during the security of Krivokapić during his visit to France.
"Through operational processing, the Police Directorate came to know that there was a technical maintenance worker in the Prime Minister's hotel room. The activities so far have shown that the safety of the Prime Minister was not questioned at any moment. An internal investigation is underway in the Security of Persons and Facilities Sector in order to determined responsibility for possible omissions in securing the Prime Minister", the RTCG portal learns from the Police Directorate.
Nova.rs interlocutors from diplomatic circles say that there is no adequate explanation as to why the case is being covered up and why the details have not been published so far.
