State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Damjan Ćulafić reacted to the statements of the deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Marta Šćepanović.
Šćepanović, among other things, stated that Ćulafić "attacked the dignity and honor of former school principals without any evidence".
In his response, Ćulafić stated that Šćepanović imputed to him that he "shamelessly attacked someone's honor and dignity" and that if he values anything in his life and work, he should hold "to his dignity and the dignity of others, believing that human rights are , as natural rights, the foundation not only of modern, but of all societies.
"As the State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, submitting an oral response to the text called "interpellation", I said that many directors (but not all (sic!)) were replaced by decisions as individual legal acts (sic!) , which solutions are explained, and the dominant reason is that, "according to the assessment of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, they did their job negligently". And that's the end of my "shameless attack on the honor and dignity" of any of dismissed officials. Did I tell any of the dismissed directors that they were immoral? No! Did I tell any of them that they were dishonest? No. Did I offend the family of any of those people? No. Did I direct any kind of I didn't. So, all my "shameless" way of addressing, which I did "without blinking" and with "an enormous dose of hypocrisy", is reduced to the following half-sentence: the directors who "according to the assessment of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and sports, negligently did their job".
