The extremely difficult financial situation in the Municipality of Pljevlja is also indicated by the last report of the State Audit Institution, whose conclusion was that the Municipality must be urgently helped from the state level or through new borrowing, because current obligations cannot be settled, Bojan Krvavac, official of the Democratic Montenegro pointed out. .
"Even Zoran Jelić, one of the main actors of the Snimak affair, who is now probably rewarded for his dedicated political work with a seat in the Senate of the Republic of Croatia, stated in his report that the state must be actively involved in the recovery of a very difficult financial situation. Krvavac further points out that the SAI report stated that last year only net salaries were paid to employees, except in January, while the corresponding taxes and contributions were not paid.
"The municipality did not, and given the situation, could not act in accordance with the provisions of the concluded agreement on the reprogramming of the tax debt, which stipulates the obligation to service all tax obligations, including the gross wages of employees. The situation in which the local self-government is also reflected by the fact that the realization of the capital budget, which refers to the year 2016, was carried out with only 21,3 percent in relation to the plan and was called into question due to the insolvency of the municipality. It is also incredible the fact that out of the 94 planned projects, preparatory work has not even started on 56. while 500 euros were spent on eight projects," reads the continuation of the Democrats' statement.
In the continuation, Krvavac says that the DRI report confirmed the fact that OO Demokrata Pljevlja has been pointing out for a long time, which is the more active approach of the Government of Montenegro in solving the cataclysmic situation in our city.
"However, to make the situation even more tragic, the DRI report states that the Municipality of Pljevlja Vektra Jakić currently owes a total of 4,1 million on the basis of concession fees and real estate tax. So there is money, but people close to the current regime, to whom they have been gifted pljeval riches, simply refuse to pay their obligations to the municipality they operate in. So, how can anyone think that the government and the government that allows cowboy behavior in our municipality, complete bragging with the lifeblood of the pljeval environment, can find it appropriate to be more active involve in solving the situation in Pljevlje. They are aware of this in the current local self-government as well. Although they promised all the benefits and a good connection with the Government of Montenegro, they are now facing the situation of being forgotten by everyone, left to deal with an intractable financial situation on their own. the last straw was the statement of the current Prime Minister Marković that Pljevlja will not receive the eco tax that legally belongs to us. Therefore, it is expected that the Government that does not allow the implementation of the law, as in the case of the eco fee, will help in the case of the economic crisis in which the local self-government is. I think it is illusory to expect. As long as the current regime is not replaced, and I believe that it is counting its last months, the attitude towards Pljevlja will not change. "Democrats, as the strongest and most organized party in Pljevlja, will end the current practice of neglect in the spring and return Pljevlja to the place it belongs to us from all aspects," says the statement signed by Bojan Krvavac.
