Milačić for shortening the mandate of the Assembly: Elections are the only fair solution

President and MP of the Right of Montenegro Marko Milačić announced that he will vote for the shortening of the mandate of the Assembly.

He said that this is the only way to prevent the "undermining of the citizens' electoral will that is in progress", for which he accused the URA Citizens' Movement and the Socialist People's Party (SNP).

"At a moment when - from the signing of the Memorandum until today - the most brutal trampling is on the scene on August 30, the only constitutional, legal, just and fair way out of this treacherous process that has already brought the people to the streets is to return the mandate to the citizens of Montenegro. The vote on shortening the mandate of the Assembly will be the best indicator of who is who in the parliamentary majority: those who vote against the shortening of the mandate within the framework of the current parliamentary majority will make it clear to the citizens that their only goal is to reshape the electoral will by and against the people," he announced. Milacic.

He believes that early elections are the only fair way out of the crisis and a moral responsibility towards the citizens who "celebrated the victory and the first democratic regime change".

"This is the last chance for colleagues from the official parliamentary majority of both the URE and the SNP, as well as others who support the policy of overthrowing the Government, to preserve a minimum of moral responsibility towards the citizens and to, through elections, not corruption and treachery, get into a position to negotiate the parliamentary majority, the Government and other obligations towards the citizens. If this scenario did not happen, True Montenegro will be dedicated and uncompromising with the people in the streets and squares of Montenegro, without a single moment of rest until the very end of this new treacherous majority that is packing to the people," concludes Milačić.
