A protest was held in Podgorica tonight against the announcement of the "overthrow" of the current government and the possible formation of a minority government.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the protest, a proclamation was read to the gathered:
"We want a government tailored to 41 deputies. We are defending the will of the people, minority governments are unacceptable. These are not political protests, but people of all political persuasions are welcome".
Folk fiddler Željko Bugarin also addressed the crowd: "To increase salaries, sign the basic contract, fix the election laws..."
"Have we gathered to deepen the divisions? I invite the leaders of today, who gained a majority with difficulty, among whom lightning broke... They can only have power if they are united. And the party is sad if it is lonely. We respect all minorities. Let it be a message for everyone: let them come to an agreement and not divide who is more to blame," said Milisav Popović from Kuč.
The protest was attended by MPs and officials of the Democrats Momo Koprivica, Vladimir Martinović, Danilo Saranović and Neven Gošović.
"Just when it cleared up, some wanted to turn dark again. To play us in mutual fights. No one should play with the will of the people, what was promised must be fulfilled," said Slobodan Čurović.
He added: "We will go to the streets and say enough. There will never be any good and happy government until there are Serbs in it. As you came, so you can leave.
The crowd chanted "Treason".
"We did not gather to defend the seats, we are interested in the will of the majority of the people. Every politician is welcome, but we ask them to be in the back rows, and let the libertarian people in the first," said Dejan Krušćić.
"The only path to virtues is the Lithuanian path, which was led by the blessed metropolitan. I believe in every comrade from this jade. My message: our option is not to change the electoral will and withdraw. Believe in our determination. There is no turning back. We have crossed paths with criminals and murderers, we will cross the road with those who try to alter the electoral will. Montenegro, there is no surrender," Milivoje Brković also addressed the crowd.
Zdravko Nišavić from the organizing committee of the protest said that the citizens will defend the electoral will and we will not allow anyone to overturn it.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić also came to the protests.
Citizens chanted "You took the money Dritan"
The Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ratko Mitrović joined the protest.
The leader and deputy of Prava Montenegro, Marko Milačić, was also at the protest.
The Minister of Finance and Social Welfare, Milojko Spajić, as well as the Minister of Economic Development, Jakov Milatović, joined the protests.
"This is not a political meeting and we will not speak. We have said everything we had, now the people will speak," Spajić said.
"We want the electoral will to be preserved and to continue doing our work," said Jakov Milatović.
Milatović said that the international community does not stand behind the minority government.
"We need to demystify the fact that the international community is behind the minority government. Behind the minority government is the fraud of the will of the voters from August 30," said Milatović.
Spajić added that the "Europe Now" program will be sabotaged.
"Who will implement the Europe program now? They will sabotage it. As soon as you succeed, they will cut you down. Elections are the only constitutional and fair solution to solve this situation," Spajić said.
Minister Bratić said that she "came to support the citizens and defend the will of the citizens to vote".
"If the winners of the election cannot come to an agreement, return the mandate to the citizens. We are not here for our seats. If the electoral will is manipulated, then the best and fairest thing is to return the mandate to the people," said Bratić.
Spajić added that Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić invited him to the Government.
"DPS hasn't been completely defeated yet. If it was, I wouldn't be bothered by this. It's very bad timing. This is an attempt to save DPS. I can only tell them that they will lose for sure. They want to destroy us, we won't allow that." Spajić said.
While Spajić addressed the journalists, citizens chanted "found a party".
Spajić said that "we are slowly correcting one injustice at a time".
"Not every injustice can be resolved in a year. We are just talking to big investors to come to Montenegro. When they see this kind of chaos and the fall of the government, they will not come here. Investors and serious business people are running away from instability," he said. Spajic.
Ratko Mitrović said that political corruption is happening.
He confirmed that Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, who previously announced twice that she would attend, was not attending the protest.
Bratić said that citizens will receive "the minimum salary of 450 and the average salary of 700 euros".
"Do you think it is logical, rational that someone now wants to overthrow this government? To the people who lost the elections and to the people who voted for the seizure of the holy places. What, in essence, this people rose up against. Will Draginja Vuksanović Stanković, who said that will never sign the Basic Agreement, will she who will support such a government sign the Basic Agreement? Does the top of the SNP think that they are bigger, better and more honorable people than Zdravko Krivokapić? And that they, along with Draginja Vuksanović Stanković and Damir Šehović, will , Ervin Ibrahimović, Fatmir Đek, Niko Đeljošaj to sign the Basic Agreement," said Bratić.
Citizens walked to the Parliament of Montenegro, then returned to the Government of Montenegro, where they slowly dispersed.
Part of the protest participants went to the premises of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) to express their dissatisfaction.
The organizers of the protest thanked the citizens and announced a new protest for tomorrow at 19:XNUMX.
They invited all political actors to join them. The citizens began to disperse.
