Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić is ready to do anything to preserve his position, from the brutal confrontation with yesterday's closest associates, to the abuse of citizens that organizations close to him are trying to bring to the streets, said the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
A member of the DPS Executive Board, Boris Muratović, said that Krivokapić, whose "one-year term at the head of the government will be remembered for the massive violation of the Constitution and all laws, and who has not had the support of the parliamentary majority for a long time", is facing a coup d'état.
Krivokapić said today, at the conference Importance of media freedom for chapter 27 and the process of European integration, that a coup d'état is at work in Montenegro.
Muratović stated that it is understood that the perpetrators of the coup are all those who oppose Krivokapić's cabinet's involvement in new criminal acts and trampling on the Constitution.
He assessed that the man who started carrying out a coup when he was elected prime minister under Ostrog, under the baton of a religious community, continued to ignore and violate the Constitution, laws and the Assembly, has no basis to accuse anyone of attempting a coup.
"On the other hand, Krivokapić brutally privatized the government, so not only do his family members work as advisers to the prime minister in their free time and negotiate on his behalf, but he also brings in some obscure characters from abroad," Muratović said.
He said that Krivokapić, by allowing foreign citizens to make decisions on his behalf, have access to sensitive information, by allowing them to carry out the dirtiest campaigns on his behalf, did everything just to preserve the position and ministerial positions of a couple of people loyal to him.
"Completely deprived of the responsibility that the government bears, Krivokapić is ready to do anything for the sake of preserving his position, from a brutal confrontation with yesterday's closest collaborators, to the abuse of citizens that organizations close to him are trying to bring to the streets," Muratović said.
As Muratović said, unfortunately for Krivokapić and the ministers loyal to him, Montenegro still has strong institutions and the Assembly as the supreme legislative body, which in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the state, and above all in accordance with the will of the citizens expressed in the parliamentary elections, to decide the fate of this Government.
