Mirsad Nurković was elected, at the constitutive session, as the new president of the Rožaj Board of the Bosniak Party (BS).
Nurković succeeded Husein Kurtagić in that position.
Nurković said that being elected as the head of the Municipal Board of BS in Rožaje is a great honor that carries a huge degree of responsibility.
"BS is the bearer of absolute power in Rožaje, which additionally obliges every board member and me as president to be persistent in implementing the work program on the basis of which the citizens elected us," he said.
Nurković said that he assumed the position of president of the Rožaj committee at a time when BS is experiencing its strongest political rise.
"I hope for success and excellent results of BS in all fields and in this new mandate of the Municipal Board", said Nurković.
He thanked the previous president Husein Kurtagić, who, as he said, made an immense contribution to the implementation of BS policy and, on two occasions, successfully led the committee in Rožaj.
Nurković pointed out that despite the fact that BS is not part of the state government, a significant influx of members has been recorded in recent months.
"The trend of rating growth is a confirmation of leading a responsible policy that citizens recognize and massively support, and which will most certainly be reflected in the next election results," he said.
