Democratic Montenegro expressed its sympathy with the families of the victims of the crime in Štrpci and called for the final determination of the truth and the prosecution of those responsible.
"Democratic Montenegro once again, on the day when it marks 29 years since the heinous crime in Štrpci, expresses its sympathy with the families of the victims and calls for the final determination of the truth and the prosecution of those responsible," announced the president of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić.
He points out that they consider it unacceptable that the hand of justice has not knocked on the door of those responsible after so many years.
"We are fighting for justice and responsibility, so that neither Štrpci, nor Bukovica, nor Srebrenica, nor Velika, nor Piva, nor Dubrovnik, nor Jasenovac, nor other difficult and painful legacies in our common history will ever happen again. martyred people of different religions and nations, because a victim is a victim, and a criminal is a criminal, regardless of name and surname," said Bečić.
Precisely because we in this region, unfortunately, know very well what the sinister temper of the whirlwinds of war means, we pray that the Russian war aggression towards Ukraine will finally stop, that peace will prevail and that we will leave peace to those who will inherit us, the statement added.
"Enough of war, division, suffering and the suffering of the innocent. Finally, let the new generations grow up in peace and prosperity, if we and many generations before us had to live in different times," said Bečić.
