Miloš Konatar, president of the Black and White MPs Club, said that in the conversation with the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, they expressed the view that it is time to enter the final phase of forming a new government.
After consulting with Đukanović about the new mandate, he said that they said that the mandate should be given to Dritan Abazović.
He pointed out that the talks about the government went well, and that the bottom line is that the new government must do everything for Montenegro to be the first next member of the EU.
At the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, MP URA Božena Jelušić was also present.
Konatar pointed out that the position of the GP URA and the CnB platform is that the mandate for the formation of the 43rd government should belong to Abazović and that by giving the mandate to Abazović, the process of forming a new government should be brought to an end.
He pointed out that there is a high degree of agreement when it comes to the priority of the government's work, which is the unblocking of Montenegro's European path, the continuation of the comprehensive electoral reform, the fight against organized crime and corruption.
"Given that other colleagues have expressed their willingness to support that story, I think that, as far as we are concerned, the conditions have been met for the President of Montenegro, after conducting consultations, to give Abazović a mandate to form a new government as soon as possible," he said. is Konatar.
He said that the future government must be clear in relation to everything that is happening in Ukraine.
"We condemn everything that is happening. What is happening is a reminder that Montenegro must build a relationship with its European and NATO partners," Konatar said.
Jelušić said that URA is a party that has never, does not contribute and will not contribute to the polarization of Montenegro.
"We have proven this with our overall actions. At this moment, for us, the interests of this country, both in the light of global and regional crises, and in the sense of unblocking the judicial branch of government - putting into operation everything that means the welfare of citizens, are of first-class importance" , pointed out Jelušić.
On those foundations, as she said, everyone who cares about this country and the well-being of its citizens must gather.
