On the city square in Bijelo Polje, a new protest of the Democratic Montenegro was held tonight against, as they claim, the alteration of the citizens' electoral will.
The leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić, said that this is the seventeenth holiday of democracy in Bijeli Polje, and the seventeenth manifestation throughout Montenegro, a manifestation of dignity, decency, energy, perseverance, freedom, peace, reconciliation and the fight for freedom.
"Struggles against the trampling of the electoral will, the struggle to preserve August 30 and everything we brought to Montenegro. Because these protests united Montenegro, united all people, regardless of which God they pray to, which nation they belong to. These protests united all free people to defend all free people, and we did not gain anything to make us personally better off, to enrich ourselves at the expense of the people, but we showed in these years how the country can be run honorably, how it can be to work only for a salary and nothing beyond the salary, how can one serve this people, and how in this devastated and in many respects degraded Montenegro one can acquire and save in a short time and give a little to the people", said Bečić, emphasizing that after For 30 years, the people could feel what a higher salary, child allowance, free textbooks, and benefits for mothers mean.
Bečić emphasized that the conciliatory tones that have been spread in recent days by some in nervousness and panic are not afraid of anything and in nervousness respond with insults.
"And these days, insults have come from the top and leadership of this party that hid on the lists of the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" on August 30, this party that the other day preserved its leadership, but lost all its membership. The leadership says that insulting and belittling you, insulting tens and tens of thousands of people who were in this month of 17 peaceful and dignified protests, that you are at these protests to protect your personal interest. Imagine, when they are ready for you, who have been harassed all these years, who have been mistreated, who have sacrificed themselves and their families, but who have never sold themselves, betrayed themselves, who have chosen honor between power and honor, to be insulted in this way, and to be qualified in this way by the president of that party," said Bečić.
He said that the people are qualified by those who are ready to sell for a little power, which the people have stood for all these 30 years.
"Who are ready for a little power, and for a few months of power to sell all their honorable and honest members and sympathizers who, together with you and us, have gone through Golgotha for the past 30 years, while some of those individuals, while we sacrificed ourselves, developed businesses and got rich during the previous regime, and these are the messages we heard from them, said Bečić.
"Abazović prevented minority parties from entering the Government"
Bečić said that even a month ago he said "that their concept of 49 MPs will fail and collapse like a house of cards".
"That number is decreasing every day. Yesterday they had an argument, you saw what the power in their hands would look like, when at the first meeting they argued one way and the other. After that meeting, one participant says that it was a frivolous gathering, another that the representative refused to let him return that mandate, the third says that he prevented everything from escalating and that the meeting was not interrupted, and the representative says that only 14 MPs supported him yesterday".
The most tragic thing of all, Bečić pointed out, is that Abazović, whom they trusted until yesterday and who was with them, and who a year and a half ago, threatened those he met with yesterday, "that he will be on the list of criminals and a thief who will end up in Spuž".
"That man who a year and a half ago said in the same assembly that he "will never go to Splendid, Hilton and Ramada, but that he goes where there are free people". Yesterday he was in one of those hotels, which mentioned, after he received a cold shower from his new coalition partners, after they told him yesterday that they still do not support him, he went out and told the media and citizens: - These gentlemen from DPS are really more than correct. Imagine the degree of that humility, when someone is ready to humble himself so much just for a few months of performing the function of prime minister", said Bečić.
He predicted that those whom he humiliated himself in front of yesterday and in front of whom he is already humiliating himself will do to him after one, two or three months.
"They will only do to him what he deserves, because yesterday they sent him a message at that meeting and after that meeting: - We are not you, the Democrats and other partners, who will allow you to deceive and blackmail us", said Bečić, adding that they Abazović cheated, conditioned and blackmailed everyone.
He reminded of everything that Abazović requested during the formation of the Government after August 30.
"He first asked for an expert government, then he asked for him to assess who the experts are, then for half of the government to be the personnel he proposes, then for him to lead the security sector, and many other things, he constantly blackmailed us," said Bečić.
He revealed the secret why the minority parties did not enter the government after the elections.
"These days they are selling us the fog that they want to gather minority parties, do you know who after August 30 was the biggest opponent who crucially stopped the entry of minority parties into the Government? Dritan Abazović with his head and chin", said Bečić.
If the minority parties had entered then, explained Bečić, Abazović would not have been able to "blackmail and condition these years and a half".
"Because he was not interested in stability and reconciliation, nor is he interested in that now, he is arguing for the sake of a handful of authorities, causing instability, destabilizing Montenegro and deceiving people," Bečić said.
Martinović: Traitors will be seen passing by in Berane
The president of OO Demokrata, Marko Ljujić, said that tonight they are sending clear messages from Bijelo Polje:
"No betrayal, no buying and selling of human souls, no injustice! Yes to the electoral will of citizens, Yes to our mother Montenegro, Yes to the White Field of reconciliation, inter-ethnic and inter-religious tolerance", Ljujić said.
The Vice-President and deputy of the Democrats, Vladimir Martinović, referred to the local elections in Berane, where, as he points out, "they will show how the traitors pass".
"And after that, we promise them that they cannot and will not be able to stop the series of election processes at the level of Montenegro, because we will convincingly defeat them in Podgorica, in Kolašin, in Pljevlja and in all the cities where the elections are coming," he said.
He said that "the quasi-European Drian Abazović and those who spent millions trying to get the election rigged should not play with the Constitution and the laws of Montenegro."
"In order for someone to postpone the elections, they must be trampled by the Constitution and laws of Montenegro. In order to postpone the elections, a two-thirds majority is needed, and they do not have that majority," said Martinović.
After the protest, representatives of Democrats and citizens walked through the streets of Bijelo Polje.
In the previous weeks, Democrats organized several gatherings in Montenegrin cities due to the announcement of the formation of a minority government.
