Konatar: The Government's behavior is causing damage, there is no country in Europe that has not expressed its attitude towards Russia's aggression against Ukraine

Everything that the government has done in connection with Russia's aggression against Ukraine and following the policy of the European Union (EU) is the best proof of why it is necessary for Montenegro to get a new executive power as soon as possible, said the vice-president of the Civic Movement URA, Miloš Konatar.

Commenting on the fact that the Government did not adopt the decision on sanctions against Russia even at yesterday's session, Konatar said that everything that is happening and the way the Government is dealing with this problem is absolutely unacceptable and harms the international position of Montenegro.

"Everything that happens in the Government regarding the issue of monitoring the policy of our European partners and foreign policy towards Russia and the attitude towards Russia's aggression against Ukraine, best explains why the Government has lost all legitimacy, had to be changed and why it is necessary for Montenegro to elect a new one as soon as possible government", said Konatar to the MINA agency.

He assessed that such behavior of the Government causes damage because, as he said, there is no country in Europe, that is, the EU, which has not expressed a completely clear attitude towards Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

"I don't think there is a country that doesn't follow the EU's foreign policy," Konatar added.

As he stated, Montenegro is a full member of NATO and as a candidate country for EU membership has obligations.

"This situation is not only a political issue, but also a value issue, in relation to which we must have a clear position. All that the government has done in relation to that topic is the best proof why it can no longer lead Montenegro", Konatar said.
