Calling the Speaker of the Parliament, Strahinje Bulajić, to schedule a session on topics that are not prescribed by the Rules of Procedure, is just one more subterfuge that someone wants to use to hide the failure of negotiations on a minority government, according to the Democratic Front (DF).
Earlier, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on Bulajić to convene a session as soon as possible to discuss urgent measures regarding the rise in product prices, and from the Social Democratic Party to be fundamentally responsible and enable the functioning of the parliament in accordance with the Constitution.
In the reaction of the DF, it is stated that the "parrot repetition" of the same story by certain political entities regarding the scheduling of the Assembly session is a mere contribution to the unreasonable pressure on Bulajić.
From that political alliance, they said that it is much fairer for the partners gathered around the minority government project to inform the public that after two months they were unable to reach an agreement, which is why they should enable a technical government to be elected.
"Calling the Speaker of the Parliament to schedule a session for them to deal with topics that are not prescribed by the Rules of Procedure is just another subterfuge that someone wants to use to hide the collapse of the negotiations regarding the election of Abazović's Government by DPS and satellites," says the reaction DF.
According to them, Article 16 of the Rules of Procedure clearly stipulates that after the removal of the President of the Assembly, the next session must begin with the election of a new President.
"All other initiatives, concerns and excess concern for the community are the most ordinary fog and demagoguery in the function of concealing the collapse of an undemocratic and fraudulent project such as the election of a minority government," DF assessed.
They emphasized that the Parliament was never locked, "and it is enough for some to see that by a simple visit to the legislative chamber."
"Also, those who persecute each other on the public stage over failed plans, especially the losers of the elections on August 30, should keep in mind that power is won only through elections," the DF said.
