The Social Democratic Party (SDP) will be part of the minority government - announced yesterday the mandate for the composition of the new cabinet and the leader of the Civic Movement (GP) URA. Dritan Abazovic.
According to "Vijesti" information, two portfolios should belong to the SDP in the future government, the most likely being foreign affairs and defense or culture.
From that party, which did not take a final position on joining the government, they did not want to comment on information about the distribution of ministries, stating that these are matters for the mandate holder.
Abazović, on the other hand, did not want to say which portfolios will belong to the SDP.
"When it comes specifically to names, I don't have that information. I will have to hold an interview with everyone when I get the list of candidates," he told reporters after reforesting the yard of the Elementary School "Radojica Perović" in Podgorica.
In GP URA, they unofficially claim that the Socialist People's Party (SNP) - which conditioned the start of government negotiations on the non-entry of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Social Democrats (SD) and SDP - will accept SDP being in the executive power.
However, the SNP did not respond to "Vijesta" even yesterday as to whether they would agree to it. "Vijesti" sent questions by email and tried to get an answer by phone, but none of the officials was ready to talk.
Earlier, they announced that it should be decided by the Main Committee of the party with a two-thirds majority, as it decided when entering into negotiations on a minority government.
"Vijesti" previously wrote that the SNP could accept talks about the entry of the SDP into power, because that party has been in the opposition for several years.
With the participation of the parties Damir Šehović (SD) and Raško Konjevića (SDP) insists that DPS, which is their former coalition partner, is in power.
DPS previously announced that it would support the minority government, but that it would not be part of it.
Abazović stated that he expects to reach a compromise with the SNP on the future cabinet.
"During the entire process, the SNP showed an amazing level of respect for the state and what is the state's interest. I expect them to be cooperative and not to problematize it when the mandate holder proposes someone from the SDP for a position", he emphasized, adding that it is not certain that the SD will be in the government.
The representative said that they came "just one step away from the government" and that he expects that the request to convene a session of the Assembly will be sent very soon, adding that "we are days, and maybe hours, away from that".
Abazović stated that the session will be held because the Assembly is not the private property of any MP. He repeated that if he did not want to schedule it, the chairman would Strahinja Bulajic (Democratic Front - DF), that can be done by some other vice-president of the parliament.
On March 3, Abazović received a mandate to form a minority government, which was offered by the "Black on White" coalition of which he is a part. Since then, GP URA has repeatedly announced that the negotiations are nearing the end and that the representative will present the program and composition of the government.
Vuković (DPS): We expect the government to be formed these days
MP of DPS, Aleksandra Vuković, announced yesterday that in that party they expect a minority government to be formed in the coming days, because, as she said, any postponement of her election introduces the country into political instability.

"Previously, we set four conditions for the formation of a minority government - speeding up European integration, dynamizing economic development, improving health conditions and ensuring that the security sector is finally stabilized - and this cannot be called any condition. With that, we went before our associates and those who are negotiating a minority government. We expect that it will be formed these days...", she said at the press conference.
Her colleague from DPS, Milos Nikolic, he pointed out that in that party they believe that they make a full contribution to reaching an agreement on a new government, and that they were perhaps the most constructive partner in the process of its formation.
