After three councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in Kotor disobeyed the headquarters by providing a quorum for the holding of local parliament sessions, thereby preventing the calling of extraordinary local elections, the fighting continued at the top of the Kotor DPS and the further dissolution of that party.
Namely, the president of OO DPS Kotor, Neđeljko Moskov, wrote a letter to the member of the Main Board (GO) of that party, the respected Kotor doctor dr Igor Kumburović, in which he ultimately asked him to declare by today at the latest whether he still supports the party's political commitments and bodies.
Moškov told Kumburović, who is the director of the Health Center in Kotor, that for a long time he has not participated in the work of the OO and GO DPS and the Commission of the Party for Health.
"In addition, the reason for my address is the fact that Vas is a former member of the DPS Dejan Ognjanović, who with two other former members of the party betrayed the interests of the DPS and sided with the interests of Democratic Montenegro, i.e. their and our political opponents until yesterday, in a speech at the session of the Kotor Municipal Assembly (SO), held on March 24, clearly called out that you with your activities, you participated in that improper business, which is the subject of interest of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Security Committee, and it could be inferred that you were also designated as one of the organizers of their activities", stated Moškov, asserting that in the meantime, on several occasions "from different the address of the party body" unsuccessfully tried to get in touch with Kumburović, so that he would "deny or confirm the statements of councilor Ognjanović".
Ognjanović hinted at the meeting of the Council of Ministers that the shedding of the ranks of the DPS will not stop at just three councilors, announcing that their views are shared by other former members of the DPS, such as distinguished doctors, the director of the Kotor General Hospital, Dr. Davor Kumburović and his brother, the director of Kotor Health Center Dr. Igor Kumburović.
Moškov warned Kumburović that, if he does not make a statement regarding his letter within the specified period, it will be considered that he is violating Ognjanović's allegations and that "you are acting contrary to the program commitments and decisions of DPS", and that "in accordance with your attitude towards this letter, take appropriate steps in accordance with the DPS Statute".
Kumburović decided to respond to Moškov with an open letter, which he also delivered to "Vijesta", in which he made a series of serious accusations against the current leadership of DPS Kotor and the work of that party.
Evaluating that Moškov's letter "seems with hidden threats and potential blackmail", Kumburović stated that it "probably breaks through the personal stamp you give to your party and social work".
He emphasizes that Moshkov is "insinuating" that he is allegedly hiding somewhere because he is unable to contact him.
"It is a narrative with which you persistently create an atmosphere saturated with suspicions and subterfuges, a situation that is ideal for drawing conclusions about the betrayals of the party, the city, the state... It is a story that can pass once, maybe twice, but it cannot pass always...", said Kumburović to the head of the Kotor DPS.
He called out Moškov that by manipulating and replacing theses he is trying to accuse him and the three councilors who disobeyed him of creating some organized criminal group.
He believes that this is also proven by Moshkov's "rigid attitude towards councilors whom you excluded from the party instead of leading, at least within the party, a dialogue about the essential things that lead us to such situations".
"I am not a member or leader of any organized criminal group... I am not prone to any form of corruption. There are various types of corruption, and the worst is the one that bribes immorality, unprofessionalism and mediocrity... This is precisely the corruption that you generate and, above all, make the matrix by which Kotor DPS is recognized in recent times...", Kumburović told Moškov. , adding that his problem "is that you see conspiracy or corruption in everything".
The doctor emphasizes that his political platform is very close to his professional ethics".
"The desire and ambition to help people. And just as I help people when they need it most, I am always ready to help Kotor who needs it. People's health is in direct correspondence with the environment in which they live, establish families, work...", emphasized Kumburović.
He told Moškov that "this is not about the program, nor about the Statute of the DPS, but about your need for us all to act like brainless people".
"A party that is not capable of dealing with different opinions, including different positions on individual issues, and that it draws its democratic capacity and strength for finding the optimal way to a better society, can only lose the race with reality... Organism in which each individual cell does the same thing it looks more like an amoeba than a functional whole. This is exactly what takes us back to prehistory," he pointed out, telling Moškov that there is enough reason for him to reconsider his own attitudes and behavior because "all the failures of the DPS in Kotor are linked to Moškov's name".
"Anyone with any responsibility would have resigned a long time ago with such results. That's how you would show even an ounce of dignity. Or is that too much to ask of you? Think about it and don't threaten me again. Or at least do it publicly".
