"We are aware that this particular location was chosen by the decision of the Administration and the National Parks Protection Service. We insist that the director of the National Parks make a public announcement and inform the locals of both Mataguž and the whole of Zeta on the basis of which this location was chosen for burying hazardous organic waste," he said. is Boljevic.
He said that in 2009, Montenegro became a signatory to the Aarhus Convention, which defines the rights of citizens and local communities to information and to participate in decision-making on issues related to environmental protection, which he states has been grossly violated by this act.
"We remind the makers of this shameful decision that for the disposal of hazardous waste they chose agricultural land, rich in underground water, which is often a flooded area during the winter months. I am convinced that this will be an alarm to the competent investigative authorities to investigate this case of ours in detail," he concluded. is Boljevic.
