On the occasion of today's sailing of the ferry "Jadrolinija" from Rijeka, which will run the Bar-Bari-Bar line for the second year in a row instead of the scrapped ferries of AD Barska plovidba, the Bar committee of the SDP reacted today, announcing that its president Dragan Vojvodić is being interrogated by a special police team due to his statements about the ferry.
"Instead of AD Barska plovidba, and especially the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Transport, dealing with this case, the Special Police Team of the Special State Prosecutor's Office is interrogating the president of OO SDP Bar in connection with his statement of October 12, 2016 regarding the announced closure of the Bar-Bari-Bar maritime line , after more than 51 years. What the citizens of Bar and Montenegro thought was a dream come true, unfortunately, became reality on December 2016, 80, when this line was closed. With that statement, concern was expressed for the fate of XNUMX seafarers of Barska plovidba and their families And not only that: this line was a window to the world, not only to Bar, but to the whole of Montenegro, even at the time of the fiercest sanctions in the then FR Yugoslavia," the SDP Bar said.
The statement adds that Vojvodić's statement was "in the context of the overall business of Barska plovidba, especially from the aspect of the business of the company's two cargo ships, which were leased, "and everything related to the possibility that after the grace period of the credit debt for these ships, the guarantee for its orderly settlement falls on the State of Montenegro, as it already happened with "Montenegro Navigation" from Kotor".
"This was repeatedly warned by people who spent their entire working life in the seafaring. In vain. The then minister Brajović was repeatedly informed about all of the above, both orally and in writing, and the current minister wisely remains silent or does not have reliable information about everything. which is hard to believe. Whether something has been undertaken in that direction is a matter for investigation. Whether it is possible that everything goes according to the folk saying "that a job is done without flaws" remains to be seen. As for the inquiry, even and the lay public, is it possible for the Elaborate on the purchase of two cargo ships "Barska plovidba" to be adopted quickly and at the online session of the Board of Directors of that Company? Finally, the statement in question invited the Special State Prosecutor's Office to "scratch" in this Company and to go back a little, when it comes to her business", SDP added.

The Montenegrin public is aware, if anything in this country can be remembered for more than 24 hours, that part of the guarantee given by the Government of Montenegro for the two ships of "Montenegro Navigation" in Kotor has already fallen on the budget of Montenegro, i.e. the citizens. Is such a "fate" can foreshadow the guarantee given for the ships of "Barska plovidba", it remains to be seen. If the day is known in the morning, it does not bode well. Whether that will also remain threatened, like many other jobs, is a question for today, not for tomorrow? Or in a few years", SDP points out, with a new call to the authorities to check the operations of Barska plovidba, the concluded lease contracts for the two ships, "and especially their annexes".
