The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, met yesterday with representatives of the company "Adriatic 42" and discussed with them the redesign of the old Bijela shipyard into a facility for overhaul, maintenance, repair and servicing of superyachts.
As announced by the Cabinet of the Prime Minister, it is an investment worth tens of millions of euros.
In a statement from the Cabinet, they state that the chairman of the Board of Directors of Adriatic 42, Captain Rade Antolović, informed Prime Minister Abazović about the activities of their company so far, the overall realization and "he pointed out that the intention of Adriatic 42 is to turn the former Bijela Shipyard into a world-class destination for that kind of service."
Antolović, they say, said that "Adriatic 42" will position Bijela among the main locations for yacht overhauls in the world, striving to ensure reliability and high technical standards for their clients.
In the announcement, Abazović emphasized that he is looking forward to the realization of the investment of tens of millions of euros, the opening of new jobs and a new horizon in the promotion of Montenegro as a luxury tourist destination.
"The doors of Montenegro are open to all investors and we always look forward to their arrival. Bearing in mind the geographical position, the proximity of luxury hotels where owners of mega yachts come and the local tradition, Bijela is an ideal place for this investment," said Abazović, according to the announcement.
According to them, he "indicated that justice and progress always go hand in hand" and that the promotion of Montenegro as a fair destination, along with the clear fight of the Government of Montenegro against corruption and crime, will have visible results in the long term, giving investors security in business.
