Representatives of the diaspora are the best ambassadors of Montenegro, said the President of the Bosniak Party, Ervin Ibrahimović.
The delegation of the Bosniak Party, led by Ibrahimović, is visiting the United States of America, where meetings were organized on the occasion of May 21, the Independence Day of Montenegro.
Ibrahimović, together with BS Vice-President Damir Gutić and head of the club of BS MPs in the Assembly, Kenana Strujić-Harbić, was a guest at meetings organized by the Plav-Gusinje Islamic Community in New York, the Bosniak Union of Montenegro in New York, the Gusinje Foundation, and they also attended a meeting organized by the Consulate General of Montenegro in New York.
"It is a pleasure to be with our diaspora in New York, especially on the day when we celebrate the Independence Day of Montenegro. We are grateful to the diaspora for everything, for the help they provide and how much they love Montenegro, they are our best ambassadors, they carry Montenegro in their hearts", said Ibrahimović, as reported by BS.
He also pointed out that he had a "wonderful meeting" with representatives of the Plav-Gusinje Islamic Community in New York.
"Their selfless support and understanding that they have been providing us for decades, give us the strength to fight even harder, because we know that we are on the right path," said Ibrahimović.
He said that he is glad that Bosniaks practice their customs in the United States as well.
"Preserving culture, tradition and customs is our common goal. I am glad to see that even in distant America, our Bosniaks practice their customs and keep them from being forgotten. The Islamic community of Plav-Gusinje in New York deserves all the praise, because it is a place of union, meeting and socializing", added the leader of the Bosniak Party.
During the meeting with the representatives of the Gusinje Foundation, Ibrahimović said that the association is an example of humanity and concern for the homeland and country.
"I am happy because of the more than successful meeting with people from Gusinje and Plavo, gathered in this association in New York. This is another confirmation of the successful cooperation between our diaspora and state authorities," said Ibrahimović.
During a meeting at the General Consulate of Montenegro in New York, on the occasion of May 21 - Independence Day, Ibrahimović said that the Bosniak Party will not allow "you in Montenegro, a country to which you have given and give everything and which has not given much to many of you, to be strangers because you are not a threat to Montenegro, but an asset".
"I am happy that I am coming to you with the message that we do not give up on you, as there were some ideas for a short time of the former government, but we see in you a chance for a better and more developed Montenegro. It gives me special pleasure to be here today on the anniversary of May 21, 2006, because I consider that date one of the most significant dates in the history of the state of Montenegro, which, I dare say, stands side by side with July 13, 1941 and all other significant dates in its history," said Ibrahimović.
The Vice-President of the Bosniak Party, Damir Gutić, told the representatives of the diaspora that BS is an indispensable political force in Montenegro, which, in addition to representing and protecting the rights of our citizens in the diaspora, offers to be the logistics for our diaspora in all segments of their activities in Montenegro.
"Coordinate activities, act systematically, present investment opportunities in Montenegro, combine the knowledge and capital of the diaspora with the potential offered by Montenegro, which are not sufficiently developed, through a public-private partnership. We are determined to invest additional energy in improving relations, with the aim of involving the diaspora in all spheres of social, political and economic life in Montenegro", said Gutić.
