Čađenović: The frequent ignoring of URA councilors turned into their appropriation

We are extremely satisfied and grateful to the Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism for the signed agreement to declare the hill of Gorica a Monument of Nature, with which she showed greater responsibility than her predecessor that the initiative of the Capital City and all our previous efforts to preserve the green jewel of Podgorica - finally receive the deserved recognition status and validation in favor of all its citizens, announced today Andrija Čađenović, deputy chairman of the DPS (Democratic Party of Socialists) Committee of the Capital City.

The Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, Ana Novaković Đurović, today signed the Consent to the Proposed Decision on the Proclamation of the Gorica Forest Park Nature Monument.

"Our satisfaction is all the greater, because the frequent ignoring of this and similar topics by the URA councilors in the parliamentary debates - turned into their appropriation based on all our previous results in order to protect green areas in the city territory. Quite honestly and without reproach for such taking credit, we are looking forward to any cooperation in order to realize the planned projects and visions on which we have devotedly worked all the previous years," said Čađenović, DPS announced.

He added that "every triumph in favor of the citizens of Podgorica and the healthy environment we share, we can feel common, because it makes us responsible public office bearers".

"What the Administration of the Capital City and the councilors of the DPS insisted on is that the protection zones be clearly defined and enjoy the same degree of protection as any national or nature park, and that is why the final compliance of the Ministry with such a request is a very significant date for everyone in the Capital City ", said Čađenović.
