The President of the Committee of the Democrats of the Capital Cetinje, Danilo Mrvaljević, said that it is unbelievable that people in Cetinje are barely surviving in the hope that the day will come when they will have the opportunity to go far.
"It is incredible that in the heart of Montenegro, a city that is more than a city, a capital that has not been one for three decades, a monument not only of Montenegrin, Balkan, but also European culture, people are barely surviving in the hope that the day will come when they to create an opportunity for them to go far from our once famous Cetinje. Whether it is bad living conditions, high unemployment rate, lack of basic facilities for children and young people, or all of this cumulatively under the baton of DPS, it has led to the loss of joy in life, which resulted in a general depopulation of the population of Prijestonica," said Mrvaljević.
He said that in Cetinje in the early and mid-360s, there were between 400-XNUMX first-class students in the two city elementary schools.
"This year, the school in Rijeka Crnojevića and Bajice enrolled almost three times less, only 152 students. Not a single student was enrolled in Rijeka Crnojevića, while the school in Bajice has been closed for a long time, moreover, from the powerful set of new pre-election promises of DPS, no one and is not thinking about adopting the Demographic Development Strategy of the Capital City, which would include incentive measures for young married couples and incentive measures for multi-member families. It seems that the current government is comfortable with the biological death of Cetinje, because they have no vision of development, except for the one that concerns their functions and armchairs. Factory of the unemployed, the factory of fairy tales, the factory of corruption and crime are the only pre-election promises that OKG DPS fulfilled in the cities where it held power," he said.
Mrvaljević added that men and women from Cetinje learned to live under this autocracy - to survive.
"And no, we didn't hope for rides on the imaginary cable car above Cetinje, because we wouldn't be able to get close to it with empty pockets. We didn't hope for Cetinje chocolate either, because we wouldn't be able to buy it with empty pockets. We didn't hope for the stadium either, because simply, we are not used to you taking care of the health and needs of our citizens. We did not hope for new jobs, nor for a new Obod, nor for a new Tara, nor for a new Sanitas, nor for a new Bojana, nor for a new Košuta, nor for a new Trgopromet. We did not hope for an economy that once employed about 10.000 people and warmly welcomed workers from other parts of Montenegro to Cetinje. We did not even hope that the number of pensioners of over 4000 would be followed by twice the number of unemployed young people. But we hoped that you would have the dignity to move out of the comfortable armchairs that have brought us nothing good except for biological extinction, destroyed economy, unemployment, poverty and false promises. This phenomenon of depopulation in Cetinje was not caused by war or infectious epidemic. Throughout history, we have always recovered from various adversities, but the cataclysm called OKG - DPS shook our capital city so much that only an army of clean, uncompromising and energetic young people, an army of educated people with a clear vision of development can and must return Cetinje to life, joy, and old glory and shine. We are ready for new challenges on the path of reconciliation, harmony, love and freedom. I am sure that the citizens of Prijestonica are also ready, and the DPS will definitely need a lot of preparation for the journey into the political past, which we will soon send them on," concluded Mrvaljević.
