The new convocation of the Podgorica Municipal Board of the Bosniak Party (BS) has 60 members, and there is a significant number of young people and women who have not been part of the party until now, the Bosniak Party announced.

The delegates elected a new convocation of the Municipal Board at the 5th Municipal Electoral Assembly of the Bosniak Party of the Capital City.

The President of the Bosniak Party, Ervin Ibrahimović, said in his address that the Podgorica committee is one of the most promising committees at the level of the Bosniak Party.

"I am happy to see that many new members are with us. I am glad that the families from Staro-Podgorica are with us, as well as those who live in this city and are originally from other regions. The strength of the Bosniak party lies precisely in the fact that we have come together, that we all create new value together, that we truly represent the interests of the Bosniak people," said Ibrahimović.

Ibrahimović is also of the opinion that the upcoming local elections in Podgorica will be of great importance.

"The Bosniak party has a good infrastructure to make a significant result in Podgorica. This is the Capital and it goes without saying how important the upcoming elections really are. We expect a good result, but we also expect to be more and significantly represented in the authorities of the capital city", he pointed out.

He said that Montenegro is slowly returning to the path of European integration and that minority peoples are ready to be part of a successful European story.

"To become the first next member of the EU. That is our goal, and this Government has committed itself to go that way. The previous government did not see the need to have minority peoples with them, they wanted to exclude one quarter of Montenegro from all processes. In the end, it turned out to be a huge mistake on their part," said President BS.

Adem Fetić, the previous president of the BS Capital City Committee, said that the Podgorica committee achieved a significant result in the last parliamentary elections.

"We increased the number of votes twice, but we don't stop there. This committee has potential, it has a good personnel base, and I am sure that the Bosniak Party will be an indispensable part of the local administration of the Capital City", said Fetić.

In addition to President Ibrahimović, the assembly was attended by Vice President Damir Gutić, Secretary General Admir Adrović, members of the Presidency, MP Amer Smailović, presidents of other BS committees, as well as members of the Main Board.

Representatives of DPS, SD, SDP, Ura, Democrats and Liberal Party also attended the ceremonial part of the Assembly. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Assembly of the Capital City, Đorđe Suhih.
