The President of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, and the Secretary General of the Democrats, Boris Bogdanović, at the invitation of the President of the European People's Party (EPP) Donald Tusk and Secretary General Antonio Lopez Isturiz, will participate in the two-day Congress of the EPP, announced today from Democratic Montenegro.
The announcement adds that the EPP congress will be held in Rotterdam from May 31 to June 1, and the delegation will be headed by Bečić.
"The European People's Party is the largest family of parties in Europe and the most numerous grouping in the European Parliament. The two-day program will be accompanied by numerous discussions at which, among others, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsol and the President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen will address. Congress will be opened by the president of the Christian Democratic Party of the Netherlands, Hans Hubers, and the president of the EPP, Donald Task, and the delegates will be welcomed by the general secretary of the EPP, Antonio Lopez Isturiz," the announcement reads.
Democratic Montenegro said that opposition politicians from countries that are not members of the European Union (EU), among others, Vitaliy Klitschko and Yulia Tymoshenko from Ukraine will also address.
"Leaders of opposition European parties from Germany, France, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, San Marino, Portugal, Malta, Bulgaria, as well as presidents and vice-presidents of the governments of member states and those that are not, will also address the Congress. The party said that at this event, the European People's Party will elect a president, general secretary, treasurer, and ten vice presidents who will lead the strongest ruling party in the European Parliament in the coming period.
