The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) must remain the opposition in Kolašin, announced last night the President of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić.
As announced by Democratic Montenegro, that party held a convention last night in the hall of the Cultural Center in Kolašin in anticipation of the upcoming local elections in Kolašin on May 27.
At that gathering, candidates for councilors from the Electoral List "Aleksa Bečić – Democrats – Victory, not division – Come home, because we have a plan for a modern city" presented themselves.
"We have no intention of returning to occupation and looting, but on the other hand, the current government must be reformed. It can and must be improved. Therefore, citizens of Kolasin, listen to the people of Budva, Novlja and Kotor and on May 27 for youth, future and victories, DPS directly into the opposition, and the Democrats directly at the head of the city," Bečić pointed out.
The President of the Democrats also answered the question of how the Democrats will implement everything they presented in the Program.
"Very easy and very simple. If you don't steal, you don't embed yourself, you don't make corrupt annexes to contracts, you don't rig tenders, you don't share with criminals, then it's for everyone. It's simple logic and it's not something we invented. Honest, clean and household hands are the greatest barrier to any crime and the greatest chance for all those who want a secure future. We often hear on the daily: increased indebtedness, unemployment, increased imports, decreased exports, another company shut down, closed school in the north, fewer and fewer champions enroll first grade. And then we wonder why people are leaving the north. Why do we have migration, depopulation and metropolitanization of Podgorica and other coastal municipalities? Out of necessity, because no one leaves their hearth they like. Therefore, we sent a message and invited young people to return. Go back to your brothers, because these are your hearths. Those who are thinking of going, stay with your brothers, because this is your house," said Bečić.
Bečić invited young and old, students, mothers, educators, doctors.
"Wake up before it's too late, help us all revive the north, the villages, so that the meadows bloom again, the carts play again, mothers are happy again, grandmothers laugh again, because there is no future without youth, no wisdom without old age, there is no freedom without courage, there is no rich Montenegro without the city of Kolašin and the great joint May victory! May we never again see a single innocent tear in Montenegro. Enough of crying, sobbing, pain. We want joy, happiness, birth, children, weddings, marriages, victories and freedom to Kolašin," said Bečić.
The holder of the electoral list "Aleksa Bečić - Democrats - victories and not divisions - Come home because we have a plan for a modern city", Vladimir Martinović said that on May 27, Kolašin will be a free city led by Democratic Montenegro, because "Kolašin has strength and future, together we will defeat them and send them into the political past, so that never again will an organized criminal group with its satellites lead this city."
Martinović pointed out that the Democrats have created a modern and comprehensive Program, which focuses on the problems of the citizens of Kolašin and offered concrete solutions, as it will look like on May 27, when the Democrats will be the holders of power in Kolašin.
"There are funds, that's why I give you my word tonight, we will also solve the issue of the Lug settlement, we will modernize the city square, we will solve the issue of the Kolašin market, the issue of water supply in Smajlagića polje and in Dulovine, and that is why on May 27, victory is in the hands of Democratic Montenegro," Matinović said. .
The Vice-President of Democratic Montenegro, Momo Koprivica, pointed out that the task of the Democrats is to prevent the process of further devastation of the economy and society in Montenegro and to fight for the path of truth, justice, reconciliation and overcoming divisions in Montenegro.
"There is no dark force that will block and stop that path, and we will not stop until we expose those who have destroyed the economy, both in Kolašin and in the whole of Montenegro. Our fight is a fight for equality, and for us, only the society in which guaranteed equality before the law, equality of all before rights, equal chances and opportunities for everyone, regardless of national, religious or any other background and in whom the feeling that the system is fair is guaranteed. But, DPS is right in one thing and they have the right and reason to be worried, because changes, justice, the rule of law and the Democrats are coming, and Kolašin is certainly continuing the tradition of opposition victories over DPS," said Koprivica.
