The Ministry of Culture and Media will be dedicated to the realization of activities that will improve the cultural life in the Capital of Cetinje, said the relevant Minister Maša Vlaović.
As stated in the press release of the Ministry of Culture and Media, in a conversation with the Mayor of the Capital City of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, she pointed out that she will make a personal contribution to organize significant cultural events in cooperation with partners in that city.
The meeting with Đuraškovića, as added in the announcement, was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and the Capital, "especially bearing in mind the importance and place of Cetinje in the culture of Montenegro and the fact that the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Media is located in Cetinje.
It is added that Vlaović presented the priorities in the work of the Ministry of Culture and Media in the coming period.
"Đurašković pointed out that culture will be the focus of action in the coming period and expressed particular satisfaction that he will have the full support of the Ministry and cultural institutions located in Cetinje," the announcement reads.
At the meeting, as stated, there was discussion about the possibilities for establishing an art biennial in Cetinje. The interlocutors agreed that there is a common interest in the organization of this type of event, and emphasized that they will make a full contribution to this process.
"They also discussed the possibilities for the valorization of the old Bogdanov kraj prison, as well as other locations in Prijestonica, which have cultural values and represent potential. Vlaović and Đurašković also stated that they will establish cooperation in solving several current issues in cultural institutions located on Cetinje, bearing in mind the fact that their work at full capacity is in the interest of both the Ministry and the Capital," added the Ministry of Culture and Media.
Possibilities for the establishment of a Cultural Center were also discussed, where, as they say, the interlocutors agreed that an institution of this type would significantly contribute to the improvement of cultural content.
"At the meeting, the subject of establishing a cinema in the capital was discussed. The Ministry, the Capital of Cetinje and the Film Center have concluded a contract, the implementation of which will ensure the showing of video content to the audience in Cetinje and beyond, as well as the creation of conditions for the establishment of a cinema, which is one of the partners' priorities." , the announcement concludes.
