At the convention of Democratic Montenegro in Pljevlja, 800 delegates elected the new Municipal Committee of that party, which will have 155 members in the future. Committee member Dušan Janjušević said that the number of people gathered around the idea represented by the Democrats clearly shows that the people of Pljevlja want a decent and dignified Pljevlja, that they want a Pljevlja "devoid of empty talk" and open to all well-intentioned people, that they want a better future, and that "because of everything the Democrats want the above". "These young people are the future of this country, they are the ones who, with their example, hard work and dedication, will ultimately make us better people who will fight uncompromisingly and do their best to make this city and our country a better place to live ", said Janjušević, as stated in the announcement. He said that the previous year was marked by numerous challenges, and that one of the biggest was "unprecedented pressure to stop" the production of electric energy from coal. "Various lobbies from the environment supported by certain "politicians and even ministers tried to close more than XNUMX jobs for us, but they failed. Through the power of arguments, we pointed out that the stability of Montenegro, to the greatest extent possible, exclusively depends on a stable energy sector," said Janjušević.

He claims that even in the current government "there are people whose goal" is to stop the operation of the Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja, because, as he said, they do not have a clear vision of the transition. "Yes gentlemen, but when you provide the people of Pljevlja with at least twice as many jobs in the real sector in exchange for one thousand two hundred jobs in the energy sector! These are the same people who reshaped the electoral will of the citizens from August 30, and who are defending the seats today. But we have gathered tonight to show them that they will soon be sent to the political past, all those who for the sake of personal interests betrayed the will of the people", said Janjušević.

As reported by Democratic Montenegro, he underlined the difference between that party and political competition. "And what do we want? We want to take the road that leads to development together with all reasonable and well-intentioned people. We want a modern, decent and developed Pljevlja. We want people who are willing to incorporate a part of themselves for the good of others. We want to work even harder and harder for our city, our citizens and our children. This magnificent gathering clearly announces people who have a vision, have the knowledge and determination to start this city and make it a better place for future generations," Janjušević concluded. Bojan Krvavac, member of the Municipal Council of Pljevlja, said that uncompromising fighters are all those who were not afraid to "say no to corruption, no crime, no mafia, no buying votes", and that is why "no one here is afraid of Frankenstein from the Government, which was formed in some kind of mafia guys". "In the past year, we have shown with our actions how much we can do. They launched hundreds of projects that have been waiting for their realization for dozens of years. We have opened the doors of energy companies to all citizens, so that now they do not only help the privileged. And just when we started, our comrades from yesterday, under the slogan of some avant-garde politics, returned the clinically and politically dead DPS to power. But we tell them that this plan will not succeed. Very soon, the day of local and extraordinary parliamentary elections will dawn, where the citizens will tell them the same thing they told their political patrons on August 30, 2020, namely that betrayal does not pass in Pljevlja, and that no one can play by the will of the people".

"If the halo of invincibility of the DPS could fall, those who are in power today will not need a hundredth of that energy, because the choice is easy: either people who fight against crime and who have shown how the most responsible state institutions are run, or representatives criminal regime with its helpers," Krvavac concluded.
