Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced that this year, on July 11, he will lead the Government's delegation to the commemoration in Potočari, saying that the Government's position on the genocide in Srebrenica is unequivocal.
Abazović hosted the leadership of the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of July 11, 1995, the 27th anniversary of the genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica, together with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Montenegro, Branimir Jukić.
The delegation of the Organizing Committee consisted of: Hamdija Fejzić - Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Srebrenica and President of the Organizing Committee for the 27th Anniversary of the Genocide in Srebrenica, Mirsad Bešić - Head of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and Secretary General of the Organizing Committee, and Nermin Alivuković - Expert Advisor in cabinet of the mayor of Srebrenica and the secretary of the Organizing Committee.
"The delegation of the Organizing Committee expressed its gratitude for the reception by the President Vlade Abazović, recalling the importance of his visit to Potočari last year, after the adoption of the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide in the Parliament of Montenegro. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee headed by Hamdija Fejzić invited the Prime Minister to and this year, on July 11, he is attending the commemoration and funeral on July 11 in Potočari," the government announced.
The guests, it was added, took the opportunity to thank the Government headed by Abazović for the fact that the Fifth Session of the 43rd Government began with a minute's silence in commemoration of the deportation of Muslim refugees in Herceg Novi in 1992.
The interlocutors, as stated, agreed that the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica deserve the greatest reverence and that the tragic events of the past serve as an important lesson, so that such events are not repeated in the future.
"Coexistence, mutual respect and respect for the memory of all victims is an unequivocal solution for the European future of the Western Balkans," the interlocutors concluded, as announced by the Government.
