Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MOI) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) will work on amending the Decision on the supplement to the basic salary for the performance of work in certain positions, in order to compensate for the reduction in salaries of the police and part of the Ministry of the Interior.
This was announced yesterday from the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political System and Internal Policy Raško Konjević.
According to him, the agreement was reached at a meeting between Konjević and representatives of the Police Administration Trade Union, the director of the Police Administration, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Finance.
"I believe that this agreement will soon receive its formal and legal epilogue through government procedures so that the salaries of police officers will be returned from July 1," Vice President Konjević said, according to the announcement.
At the meeting, it is said, it was agreed to speedily work on amending the Regulation on job groups and coefficients for the salaries of police officers, which would increase the coefficients and thus the salaries of police officers, with the implementation being from January 1, 2023.
"I will personally advocate and support an increase to the level of what education and health received a few years ago," said Vice President Konjević.
At the meeting, it was also agreed that in the coming period, discussions on the harmonization of the collective agreement between the Syndicate - MUP - Ministry of Finance will continue.
