We regret that councilor Luka Rakčević was humiliated by the second place on the list of councilors, due to the increasingly loud suspicions of the citizens that his work as a councilor was solely in the interest of the construction lobby from the URA, while avoiding to answer the questions of the citizens when he will launch the initiative to delete the residential and commercial complex URA builders from Blok, announced today the representative of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Assembly of the Capital City, Nenad Vujošević.
"Because in these elections we are deciding whether we want the construction lobby of the URA to copy the good initiatives of the DPS, but in a way that lobbies against all projects that can be their competition? Do we want a government that talks about water prices in Podgorica and not reducing water prices in in the municipalities where he exercises power, where water is many times more expensive than in the Capital City? Do we want parties that talk about party employment while in the municipalities where he exercises power, they cannot agree on places in the management boards? In these elections, we are voting against those who heavily concrete Block in which the construction lobby of the URA, hidden behind the smoke curtains of its councilor, operates a residential and business complex without hindrance? Is it a spa for us that for more than a year the URA completely ignores the demands of the citizens to erase this concrete complex and build a park there? And why according to they treat their property like a household, so business entities owned by only one builder from URA in Podgorica have so far built buildings with a net area of 32,469 square meters? When they talk about green areas, do they mention how many were destroyed by the construction lobby of the URA? Because it is completely unimportant whether Čađenović or Rakčević is at the top of the list, on May 27 we will choose between two concepts of city development according to the citizen or according to the citizen winemakers from URA and Demokrat. We choose between the opposition that blocks the work of local communities because it does not want the active participation of citizens in their construction projects, between those who use their council mandate to lobby against the competition of the elites in their ranks and those who develop every part of the city, between running away from responsibility and accessibility to every citizen 24 hours a day," Vujošević pointed out.
He added that this is an election against coalition partners fighting over who is a greater Serb, who voted against the Serbian language and for the Constitution, who celebrates the day of the entry of a foreign army into their own country, who is the real opposition, who works for others and who for himself, against the language of insults with which the URA and the Democrats are burying the Montenegrin public these days.
"Because Podgorica is loved sincerely and not as a space for expanding the business of builders from URA, the choice has never been easier," Vujošević said.
