The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, told the Ambassador of France, Christian Timonier, that "it is my honor to inform you that the headquarters of the Regional Center for Combating Cybercrime and Cybersecurity will be in Podgorica."
"We succeeded in what we initiated on March 29 together with the rector of the University of Montenegro, handing over the letter of intent to Ambassador Timonije," Abazović said, according to the announcement.
As reported, Timonije informed Abazović that Podgorica has been chosen as the seat of the aforementioned Regional Center, which will be located in the Science and Technology Park in Podgorica.
"Great recognition for our country and the University of Montenegro. We have built the trust of our greatest allies. Montenegro is truly a leader in the Western Balkans. We continue on, even stronger, more determined and concrete. We are doing great things for our country," said Abazović.
As announced, it is a project of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, which in February of this year launched the project to establish the French Center for Security Expertise in Southeast Europe, with the aim of making the Center responsible for the countries of the Western Balkans.
